“Good in location”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

This is my first time to Thailand. The location is very great, just next to the BTS and MRT station. My room is Deluxe Premium Room. The view is great, can view the swimming pool and the Benjakiti Park. But will be very hot during afternoon, if the curtains are not lower. Microwave oven is available in the room too. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. The chair is not high enough to work with the table, but is comfortable when watching TV. One day we go out with the Do not Disturb on, they will not clean up the room. This is my first time the cleaner will not clean my room with the DoD on, so great! Everything are great, but during my check-in on the first day, no one on the desk trying to help me. And the receptionist (trainee) did not happy in her face. Beside that this hotel is recommended.

I have stayed here at end of May 2012 [see my review on 12 June 2012] and again in November 2012 with my wife and son. One of my reason for my love to travel to Bangkok / Thailand is the hospitality and this hotel has it at its best plus its great location with easy access to the Skytrain (BTS) and MRT. Not forgetting that it is attached to Terminal 21 shopping centre where you can get great food and shopping practically at your door step.

Arrived in Bangkok airport at 9 A.M. and reached the hotel by 10 A.M. Well, definately not check in time but the lovely and ever smiling receptionsit told us to wait for 30 minutes at lobby and enjoy the refreshments. After 30 mins in comfort, the Receptionist said our room was ready and it has been upgraded to a suite. Wow! and that we can have breakfast at the Execuitve Lounge, double Wow!

Great room. The bed sheet was spotless. The bath room was clean and there are a bath tub and also shower.

Breakfast at Executive Lounge was not crowded but the food and drinks served were same for the 3 days except for the Japanese dish [soba fish changed to teriyaki chicken changed to fish].

Check out was quick and hassle free. There are always few taxis outside the lobby. So going anywhere or to the airport is easy [about B$400 to airport]. If you want to take the taxi, just tell the Receptionist of your destination, he/she will write it in Thai on a printed card for the taxi driver. On the same card, the hotel name and address and phone numbers are printed.

Overall, love to be back here and I shall be back for many occassions. This hotel made my trip to Bangkok worthy and enjoyable.

Hotel is design more like a service apartment, rather than as a hotel itself.
Room is of good size, maybe because I was upgraded as I checked in very late in the night. A/C in room very good and strong, and bathroom size is large with Japanese type of toilet bowl usage. Bed is very comfortable, and room come with fridge, microwave and washing machine.
Breakfast in the morning is OK, but selection not as great as you could find in those 5 stars hotel. Coffee is very good, and it done by coffee machine, self-service, which is strong and fragrant. Breakfast services provided by the staff is fast and efficient, which is very good as sometimes the place is very crowded in the morning.
Location is good, but then this is a place where there are constant traffic jammed. It is a pain to get a taxi from this hotel, and most of these taxi will always wanted to bargain to get a fix price to get you to somewhere instead of using the metre.
Yes, the hotel is connected to the BTS or train system, but Bangkok system is unlike other cities. The train is small and always very crowded, and they don't usually bring you to the place you going. You always need to walk a distance to get to the place you want. With Bangkok weather and dust, you will arrive at that place sweating. Taxi will be a better option, and if you have more people, it will be much cheaper than taking the train, and you arrive at that exact place you wanted in A/C comfort. Taxi in Bangkok don't really mind you squeezing more people than is allow.
Shopping mall in this hotel is really nothing much. It is a small mall with many small little shops, which cater more to the younger people. They don't have department store and the supermarket at the basement is very small. It will be better off you go to those bigger mall like Paragon or Central World.
Given a choice, I will prefer to stay somewhere less crowded and less traffic jam, and no need to constantly bargain or wait for a taxi. Few taxi will want to come into the hotel to pick up guest. Don't really understand why.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us. Thank you very much for your kind feedback and comment. We are in the center of the business area, connected with the shopping mall and in conjunction with the public transportation, BTS and MRT. So it might be crowded, especially during the prime time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience during your stay with us.

Nothing I can fault on this hotel though they maybe a bit rigid on the late check-out, latest to check out by 1pm. Taxi provided by the hotel are all the green taxis which seem to be the better ones as they always turn on the meter except going to the airport which charges 500baht from hotel to airport. Breakfast spread is very good, very crowded though. This hotel provides direct access to both BTS and Metro which makes it very convenient to go to any place. Take the escalator next to the conceige counter near the lift lobby to Level 2 for direct access to the BTS. Juice and coffee also available whole day at the lobby, at the loungers area. Both day & night blinds in the room are motorised which really impress me and that includes the huge windows too. Toilet seat seem to be heated too due to the toilet seat system installed. Room corridor on the smoking level could do better with more aircon as the corridor reeks heavily of cigarette smell due to low air ventilation. Go to the San Sap restaurant on Level 5 next to the food court in Terminal 21 for good and cheap Thai food. For cheap massage, you can go to Health Land Asoke, about 5-10 mins walk, by turning into Sukhumvit 19.

Room Tip: Book the deluxe room if you want a bigger room with bathtub.

Our trip to Bangkok was excellent thanks to this great hotel and location. This time, we travelled with a range of ages -- from 24 month old toddler to 70 plus senior citizens, and every one gave the thumbs up to this hotel.

The kids loved the pool, the children's room and huge windows looking out to the city below. The gramps loved the accessibility -- very near to BTS/Subway station, Robinson's and Terminal 21 (loved this themed mall!); it was easy to pop in and out for groceries, for a little shopping, for laundry, etc.

I loved the homely setup of the Grand Suites we booked which had one area for living room, dining and kitchen, while the bedroom and bath was down a corridor. The sliding doors that separate the living room and the bedroom allowed for privacy.

Oh, and special mention must be given to the water closet/toilet bowl here heheh...all kinds of buttons for seat warmer, a blast of cool air, deodoriser, water pressure...even the kids enjoyed using this!!! LOL

We stayed for just 1 night and wish we had longer!

We were upgraded to a Grand Suite which made the stay even more enjoyable. The veiws were incredible! The hotel is right by the Asok stop on the skytrain, literally a minute walk as well as direct access to the brand new Terminal 21 Mall.

Our flight only departed at 1am the next day we checked out, even though the hotel couldn't offer a late check out, we could use the facilities to freshen up and shower and they stored our luggage all day.

Facilities: The pool is amazing! Infinity pool with the city in the backgound and has a sort of zen style, very relaxing! I didn't see a bar anywhere? They seem to only have a restaurant which i did not try for anything other than breakfast. Speaking of which, the breakfast was great, International fare for all tastes!

Sukhumvit is THE place to be in Bangkok and Grande Centre Point THE hotel to stay at :)

Room Tip: If you can afford a suite then do it! he he :)

We stayed at this hotel during 26-28Nov2012. We booked superior room only but hotel upgraded the room for us due to superior rooms are fully booked. I don't know what is the room type of this upgraded room but it must better than deluxe room as it is on 31/F. Great view and the windows are very big. The room has microwave, washing machine and electric stove. It is very comfortable to stay here and we don't want to go out. All the staffs here are polite and friendly. The swimming pool is very good and big enough. Breadfast is ok but very crowded and may be need to wait for the table during rush hours. One of the hotel's entrance is connecting to Terminal 21 shopping mall and BTS Asok. I love this hotel very much and will be back next time.
