We really liked the authentic Indian vegetarian fare that they have. They have everything from North Indian, punjabi, South Indian, Gujarati, Rajasthani dishes. It's quite tasty and filling. Even toddlers and kids can enjoy. Would highly recommend it to everyone

We are regular visitor to this restaurant with family and friends. This is basically an Indian fast food joint. Not a typical restaurant.staff not very caring. We go there to eat . And you shall get good vegetarian food and expect nothing else

A very nice pure vegeterian restaurant in Sukhumvith soi 20 opposite to Windsor Suites Hotel.

Food is Excellent and they have a great variety to choose from, however be patient as the service is a little slow.

All in all we had a great time dinning here.

What can I write about a restaurant that I have visited more than 20 times in Bangkok. Well its still a food stop in Bangkok that deserves a review .

The Ambience is extremely good and I must admit that when compared to the likes of Mrs. Balbirs, Dosa King, Aryas and other India food hotels Saras stands apart.

The variety of food offered is simply too good. South Indian Food, Chinese Food, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Thai - name it and they have it.

Saras has a spread of Thali's to choose from such as a Gujarati Thali, A Rajasthani Thali, a south Indian Thali, and the new entrant a Chinese Thali, I have tried a few of these Thali's and I have always come out feeling fed to much. The Thali's are generally good.

Chinese and Thai (pappya salad in particular) are equally good.

South Indian food is good and so are Gujarati and Rajasthani,

If there is one food that is a avoid here then it is the Punjabi food.

The one let down overall with the food here is the amount of oil that is used - which is generally very high.
The Punjabi food in particular comes flooded with oil making it almost impossible to eat it.

The price is generally on the higher side when compared to the other food spots of the similar format.

To summarise
What is good
1. Spread and variety of food
2. Ambience
3. Gujarati food

What is not so good
1. Price - slightly over priced
2. Usage of oil - needs to be reduced

On recommendation of one of my veg. friends, I had my lunch here yesterday with 5 of my business associates. For a Punjabi meal, they charged us THB300 per meal, which is a total waste. The meal had 4 dry rotis, very little rice with few Punabi sabjis. Dear fellow Indians, please avoid this place, which is a total rip-off of your money.

Dear Mr. Dhar,

We apologize for responding late to your post, but it is never too late if your intention/willingness is to improve and learn.

Firstly we would like to thank you for your feedback, which will always help us to improve further . Allow me to revert on your comments. Thali's are set meals, which contain the following items thoughtfully put together.

4 types of vegetables & curries, namely - one Paneer Vegetable (cottage cheese), Daal (Lentil), Green mixed vegetable and a Potato based vegetable (which changes every day) | Tandoori Roti (2 Pcs) | Basmati Rice bowl | Dahi Vada (Yogart based appetizer) | Dessert | Condiments (pickle, papad and salad) & small water bottle.
Based on our research on the best practices, we can safely say that this is sufficient for any one person (unless the same is shared with two or more people) but we appreciate that individual appetite may vary. it is always possible that one may not find the above quantity filling enough, in that case they can order additional breads, rice or other items.
Based on the nature/concept of business , it is not feasible to provide an unlimited option.

I hope this answer satisfies your comments. Incase there is still any query, you may write back to us.
