If you live in Bangkok, you may have heard about JoJo, the still new Italian restaurant that recently opened in town within the stylish St Regis hotel.
Jojo in fact, is already well known and quite popular-
Surprisingly though, I had never heard about Viu, a pearl of a restaurant elegantly located on the 12th floor of this hotel.
Let me clarify immediately that I have not been there for eating yet but I believe that the discover itself of this place is worth an announcement and I am going to review here briefly the feeling I had when I was introduced to this fantastic restaurant.
The décor is quite contemporary but doesn’t lack of warmth and friendship.
The hostess were very nice and welcoming. She accepted to show us the menu and illustrated a bit the philosophy of the chef.
It looked very appealing to me with dishes coming from the all world but among there are a couple of things that caught my eyes: a smoky plate of ravioli with an irresistible smell that over passed us to land on the table of other lucky diners (I think it was the burrata ravioli) and an appealing whole ham that seats on a shining counter and I assume will be cut by hand on demand.
The view is worth already a lunch as this restaurant lays over the Royal Bangkok sports Club and the view is impressive thanks to huge floor to ceiling windows. I guess that to go there for the Sunday branch should be quite exciting with the horse race that is held just below these windows!
Anyway, I promise I will write more as soon as I will have had a meal and really hope the experience will be as rewarding as the atmosphere promises.
