We stayed at this fantastic hotel for eight nights in April and absolutely loved it! I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses in Europe before but this one really exceeded my expectations. The location is great and all the popular malls around Siam Square are within walking distance…the choice of food at Siam Paragon Centre is amazing and we often went there for lunch etc. (I also highly recommend the restaurant at the Jim Thompson house which is just down the road). The Sky Train stop ‘National Stadium’ is just outside the hotel which is very convenient.
Our room (#1808) was on the 18th floor and we had a great view over the National Football Stadium and the skyline of Bangkok….the view was stunning at night time and the floor to ceiling windows are just perfect to enjoy the view! Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed: large and comfortable double bed with pillow menu (soft and firm pillows), armchair with coffee table, another larger coffee table, flat screen TV (unfortunately not that many European channels), large desk with chair, big mirror, iPod docking station, fridge, kettle with a choice of teas and coffees, two complimentary bottles of water (daily), hairdryer, large wardrobe with inbuilt safe, and a big bathroom with a huge walk-in shower. Everything seemed very new and modern and was spotlessly clean.
The hotel also has a great gym with high quality equipment and a rooftop terrace with great views. Breakfast was served on the 7th floor – the food was nice, however, the choice of food could have been better as it gets a little boring after a couple of days.
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and always helpful to answer questions or organise taxis.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam and would definitely recommend the hotel. Hopefully we will be back one day! Thank you very much to the entire team for making our stay so nice!
