Great price, location and staff

Review of SPB Paradise
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 8, 2012
Spotless rooms. Great water pressure in shower/bath.
Small veranda.
My only gripe would be that we where on the 2nd floor and facing out the back of the hotel. Well they have 11 street dogs howling at night so if you stay there get a room high up and maybe facing out the front.
We stayed over 7days in the place and where planning to move to another hotel that was closer to our friends. But it was a little gem of a hotel and decided to stay a little longer. It is not really near anything but it is not far from anything.

We stayed for two weeks in this hotel, staff is very friendly we could leave our luggage when we went traveling and picked it up 2 weeks later.
Rooms are modern, spacious, clean and beds are comfortable. (altough we had some problems with the plastic covering the matress)
Restaurant is good aswell and free internet is a plus.

Hotel is really hard to find, cab drivers just don' t know it. we went by MRT (stop at sutthisan) but the first time we had a hard time finding it..
There is a free shuttle service to MRT and nearby 7 eleven (you could also easily walk) a gym (really small though). Their roomservice was not as good, they did not clean the room even if we asked for it, almost always forgot to bring us new towels and toilet paper.
Overal i would recommend this hotel, it is a great value option if you don' t mind to be a little out of town.

SPB's location isn't great, there isn't much in the surrounding area but is right by a MRT station and the hotel provide a free shuttle service to and from the station.
Rooms are really big and kept clean, though the bathroom does have a weird smell, I think it's the drains.
Staff are friendly and will try to help any way they can. The SPB restaurant has delicious food and really cheap, the staff in there are really friendly too!
Worst thing about this place is the bed, for some unknown reason it's a leather mattress that still has the plastic on with a sheet that doesn't fit!
Free wifi is a bonus but isn't very fast.

We stayed here for two nights as a midpoint between Chiang Mai and Koh Samui. This guesthouse was easy to get to from the Bangkok train station as it was connected via the MRT. Once we got to Sutthisan station we called the hotel, which sent a golf cart to come pick us up.

The rooms are large and clean. Hot showers, everything works.

The local market next to the hotel are interesting. There are also a couple of coffee shops are excellent.

This is a great place to stay! Very close to the MRT. They even provide a shuttle to the MRT and back. Just give them a ring and they pick you up for free. Rooms are modern, very clean and well equipped. Friendly staff, and best off all; not expensive.
