“At home”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

We chose the Viva Garden Hotel with the intention to stay for one night only!

On arrival, after a short taxi drive from the airport, we were astonished to see a nice, brand new, imposing Hotel called Viva Garden. The reception by the front desk staff and the bell boys were so welcoming and kind, that we immediately felt at home.

We were amazed when they led us to our studio. We got a very spacious, friendly, bright room, with a fully equipped kitchen, including a microwave, and a living room with a sofa and a table. In front of the sofa was a stereo-music centre and a desk. On the wall was a big flat TV and of course we had a free WiFi, which worked. Beside the broad windows reaching from ceiling to the floor was a king-size bed with a very good mattress. The balcony too was quite big with a good view over the town and two nice seats with a table.
The air-conditioning we could adjust ourselves, was at the correct setting, so that we never had a draft feeling.
The bathroom was not only spacious, but beside the bathtub we had a separate shower enclosed by glass, that can be used with a wheel chair too.
The apartment didn't have a high floor carpet, but was covered with flagstones which made the room hygienic and clean. Congratulations to the architect.

The facilities in the hotel were excellent, to mention not only the nicely designed swimming pool beside a well kept up garden with palms, a well furnished fitness room and a Sauna. We also appreciated the 3 washing machines and tumblers, we could use whenever we liked.

The staff was marvellous, always helpful and kind. It seemed that they read our wishes from our lips.
The manager Mr. Jadet Thuanthai contacted us not only with a letter, but came personally to welcome us. He offered us his help, if we would have some difficulties during our stay in Bangkok and he really came through.

At the time of our stay it was a wonderful, clean, friendly and safe hotel.

Instead of one day we stayed for 14 days. We invited our friends who were staying in other hotels to join us, which they did and were enthusiastic like us.

Our only wish to the management: Don't rise the room rates too much and keep up the level of your kindness and services

Great value. I think we paid about $50/night for a superior studio. The room was a nice size, large bathroom with shower and bathtub, balcony, full size fridge, microwave, big bed, and very clean. No real complaints about the room except the drain in the shower seemed a little slow at times. I loved our room otherwise.
The hotel itself is really pretty, modern, and spacious. The hallways connect to the outdoors. The pool is gorgeous. Has a launderette (buy detergent across the street at a 711) which was very helpful. There's a restaurant that we never really ate at, and a coffee shop right outside.
The staff were very, very helpful and always very eager to please. They spoke English pretty well. Mr. Naphat was always there to greet us, and gave us tips on restaurants, the best way to get to certain locations and about how much it should cost (so we didn't get scammed), tell us about the area around the hotel, and just overall probably the best hotel staff I've ever met. The service could not have been better.
The location is right next to the BangChak skytrain station, with a street market/food across the street. It's not in the heart of Bangkok, but I didn't mind it because rush hour around there is crazy. So it's a little quieter where we were, and we had the skytrain right there anyway. The hotel is very modern in an older neighborhood, so it kind of sticks out and looks like it doesn't belong. It's kind of like a little oasis in BangChak. When you're inside the hotel you don't notice it, even when you're out in the pool. I felt safe in the location, but there are some homeless people around the station. At first we didn't realize where all the close restaurants were, but we found some close to the end of our trip. Just ask Mr. Naphat. Ordering out wasn't that great, and more expensive.
If I came back to Thailand, I would love to stay here again. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and never seemed frustrated or annoyed with us.

This place is terrific. Were not sure about the location until we mastered the BTS and then it was great. It is a little out of the way but that just makes it all the better. With the BTS you can go anywhere. The front office staff are just delightful and nothing, absolutely nothing is too much trouble. It is so fantastic we are extending out stay. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Higher rooms would have a better view.

Dear Sir / Madam,

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Viva Garden by Bliston and satisfied with our accommodation and of course the service.

Thank you for the kind words you said about us. As you mentioned, our ideal location is just right in front of the skytrain BTS which easily lead you to the major shopping malls, entertainment and business districts. It’s also very convenient to travel to the airport and industrial estates by the nearby express way.

For those who prefer to stay somewhere quieter, bigger space of the room, but yet easy to travel around – we are sure you will love us.
Thank you again for your fantastic comment!

Have a nice day!

The room, bathroom, gym, pool, breakfast & service are all amazingly good for the value. We had to check out at 5.00 so they gave us a lovely lunch box & bottle of water to rake with us; the staff really were great.
The location is just meters away from the BTS and then you're 10 stops or about 15 mins away from Siam station, the very centre of town. The part of Sukhumvit Rd that the hotel is on is not that nice to walk along so you will want to hop straight onto the train or into a taxi when you leave the hotel.
There are some very local style eateries across the road but most Westerners will want to travel at least 5 stops on the train to get to somewhere more comfortable for eating.
But when you do return to the hotel, it's a nice new place & you'll be given a very warm welcome.

Love the deco of the rooms with all the things that you need for a short or long stay. Well equip with the amenities that you need to make your stay comfortable.

All staffs are super friendly & eager to add value to your stay.

Just a walk away from the Bang Chak BTS train station with a couple of convenience stores like 7-11 just across the street. The new Siam Paradise Night Market is just one station away. The On-Nut BTS Station is also a station away where a huge supermaket - Lotus Tesco is located. Fantastic New mall called Terminal 21 is a few train stations away that features amongst the best shopping experience in South east Asia. Loving it!

This hotel is very new and the design is modern with lots of colour and natural light. A BTS train station is only 50 meters away. Across the road is a night food market and also a morning seafood and fresh food market. There is a large shopping centre about 10 minutes walk. Rooms are very modern and clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms are very large and well appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The swimming pool is a good size and very pleasant. Fitness centre is very good and the sauna room is perfect after a hectic day in Bangkok.

Room Tip: All rooms are very good but higher floors obviously have a better view
