What a great place to eat! You would never realize you were in Bangkok when your inside, small, cozy, intimate. The food was excellent and the staff lovely and attentive without being intrusive. The kind of place that you read the menu and can't decide what to have, was very impressed and would say it's a must when in Bangkok.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Better cocktails than I have had in london, small intimate restaurant of only 4 tables, relaxed interior, great background music, personal service and fantastic food! Also unbelievably well priced, we did several cocktails, 2 starters, 2 mains and shared a pudding and it was about £35 for both of us in total. Open till late and they all speak English (trust me after battling taxis this is refreshing!).y only warning is that it is very difficult to find. I strongly suggest downloading the map on your phone while in wifi and showing the taxi driver, then also call the restaurant and get them to explain in Thai where it is. This place really deserves recommendation in Bangkok, a really lovely evening.

a nice small place to have dinner. romantic and minimal wooden decor.

we booked a 8:30 pm table but went there early and able to get a table almost an hour early. staff were knowledgeable and attentive. the foods were great. smoked salmon, white snapper, duck breast, filet mignon, meatball spaghetti were all delicious. we enjoyed the dinner greatly.

I arrived there after some map guessing and landed on a quiet intersection of Lan Luang. The short walk there was pleasant a departure from the helter skelter of other parts of the city. The service staff who answered the phone on several occasions deftly and always diplomatically offered a call cab service instead of giving clear directions which as proven are so easy to find these days. And it's so strange because the barman/barista can converse in English quite well and he had always an iphone on hand, checking the latest on their fb reservation. Perhaps theya re too polite to acknowledge the existence of the public bus transport that brings you right to the doorstep. And of course knowing the hi-so crowd, it would have been a taboo to even suggest.

The place was only serving one table of a foreign couple at around near 8 p.m. which was later joined by a group of very well dressed locals, all girls out for the night.

As the space is extremely cramped, really, I witnessed the innovation of the manager/ chef who turned a cancelled 6 seater and gave me a whole 4 seater table in less than 2 mins.

This of course was also translated into the food.

For the first time, the restaurant revived what it meant to serve good honest food.

The glass of the ginger was chilled and concocted well somehow that drinking it felt way far classier than the can that it came from, almost magical and every sip was a delight.

The bread was warm fluffly though the butter somewhat did not quite pair up with it. To be honest, the salad of chicken confit, walnut and feta cheese was quite enjoyable. In retrospect, if you understand the trade, there was a reason why the staff kept emphasising the grilled chicken it usually came with was replaced by the confit. Dried chicken becomes confit. No matter, the flavours were to their credit ,maintained.

Then the mains of white snapper with lavender was somewhat extraordinary and even some of the city's good French restaurant have yet to feature this.

The limited choices of dessert was disappointing and while I would have loved to linger a bit longer, the marvellous dinner was best left at these two dishes.
