Well located hotel, decent at a fair price, but the rooms are too small even though we had superior deluxe and it was too small and a bit cramped.
the breakfast was good and the staff polite; water was a rip off at 40 Baht as it you can get 6 bottles for that price if you just walk out for a minute.
Location wise, a good choice but if you need spacious rooms, then well, this is not the pace at all!

Room Tip: All are small

The hotel is in a good location between Asoke and Phrom Pong BTS stations.Although it is only about 60 meters from Sukhumvit, it is very quiet. THe rooms are small, but designed well so that I didn't feel squeezed. There was fast free WIFI and everything one would expect of a modern hotel. The breakfast buffet was ample. Ther are plenty of restaraunts nearby and shopping malls are a 10 minute walk in either direction. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed here based on a recommendation by a friend. It's about 7 mins walk from Phrom Pong BTS station and the deal came with room and breakfast. For the price and location, it is quite excellent. Didn't have time to try the pool out though.

Rooms not so large but bathroom comes with bathtub and bedroom has LCD TV, and connections for USB, HDMI and 3-pin UK plug. So you don't really need a converter for your appliances. Wifi is also free, but signal can be sparse (for me only seem to work from the toilet).

A small con: I didn't like the pillow, I think it's too soft but that's a personal preference. And the aircond is a little noisy... even at low setting, doesn't seem to make it any more quiet.

Would definitely come back to this place!

We stayed at Amora for 2 nights on arrival to Bangkok, after booking online via Agoda.
For the cost (around $65NZD a night) we were very happy with the place. Room was small, but nice and modern and had everything we needed (no need for a massive room if you are out all day anyways!). Staff were helpful and there was a great range available for the buffet breakfast (included in the price), including basics from cereal, toast, eggs, sausages to Phad Thai Noodles, Red Curry etc. It was great!!! Also had Wifi included in our stay, which was super handy. Has an onsite pool (on the rooftop) and gym, which was great. The gym was rather stuffy though.
Hotel was a little away from the main city centre, but only a 5-10 min walk to the sky train, which was super fast and cheap to catch (we caught the train from the airport and just had to jump off and connect to a second train to get to Amora). Very cheap and easy way to get around Bangkok.
Recommend this place to anyone after a reasonable priced place, but still waiting a modern, clean hotel!

Stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of our holiday in thailand. This hotel in located in Sukhumvit Soi 31 which is a quieter part of sukhumvit(stayed in soi 8 previously) . The hotel is about 5-10 mins walking distance from phrom phong BTS station and undoubtedly the location is good.

Pros:

1) Good location in quite part of sukhumvit and close to BTS
2) Good rooms,slightly smallish .
3)Terrace pool is nice
4)Service-Friendly staff who speak decent english. Not great, but expect that while traveling to thailand.

Cons:
1)Cleanliness-Found hair in the bathroom and tub when we checked in. Cockroaches in the breakfast area.
2)Gym-Was small, can say its functional but lacking if you are a serious gym enthusiast.

Overall a decent stay, but could have been great if the hotel would work on the cleanliness part.

Just got back from a 2night stay. Hotel looks alot better than it actually is.

Plus points (if any)

Location was ok, 5 min walk to skytrain. 7-11 3mins walk. Room size was ok, but a little small. Big tv.

Bad points

Staff dont understand nor speak even basic english. Hard to get any information. Apart from the manager who did speak, but wasnt there all the time.

Air con is tempo mental. Works when it wants. Rooms were dirty, dust in alot of places. Bed sheets had stains. Bath floor mat had better days. Shower curtain was filthy.

Left a note alont with a tip asking for the sheets to be changed. But to my surprise, the same yellowish stain was still there. So i actually stayed at a friends condo for my last night. Oh and yes they tip was taken.

I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone, and definitely will not be staying here again
