I scored this hotel low in a couple of areas.
On arrival at 3, we were late and did advise our arrival would be at 2pm, our room wasn't ready. We waited til almost 330pm. On a hot sweaty afternoon in Bangkok after flying from the uk we were less than impressed.
So we get in the room. Great. Nothing less than we were expecting, not a lot more either. Pretty much an average uk premier inn/big chain hotel style ( even though this hotel is smaller as alreadystated).
My partner, needs to use the gym, as often as possible, due to his job( unfortunately even on holiday) however he only lasted 12 minutes before coming back saying the heat in the gym was just suffocating as there was no aircon?!?!
We stayed here for 2 nights.
We went to breakfast just the once.
I'm not sure what everyone else is used to having for breakfast but chicken with ginger sauce and an partially raw fried egg was not exactly appetising for the first meal of the day. Sure there was some fruit?? Yes. Just melon. that was all and some American style hotdogs and some, and I mean 2, cereals. We did not bother on day 2 but went to the bagel and coffee shop on the corner of suk.31. Also, I can't quite understand if the staff in the bar get any form of cocktail training or general drink making?
The lady, who was absolutey lovely, don't get me wrong, made an absolutely awful drink for my partner which was definitely not the expensive cocktail he asked for. All drinks there were very expensive unless you want beer. Due to us being not very good at all at Thai we couldn't tell her what it was that she had done wrong in Thai (she had used baileys instead of Cointreau!).
Very expensive mistake. Didn't go again. She was very sweet showing us places to go on the map though.
Beds were fine, but don't expect wow! But apparently for Bangkok, fine seems to sufficient for some to call it wow.
Won't stay on our return to Bangkok next week. Maybe a hotel either directly in the city central to most or one near the airport would be better!!
