“A hidden gem and a great breakfast”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

We arrived at night and if I'm honest it felt like the hotel was up a side street and far away from life, but when we woke up in the morning we could sense it was a safe area, nicely tucked away and very close to the skytrain and the MKB shopping centre. The Lit Hotel was a lovely hotel, service was second to none, someone there to meet you and open the door when you arrive and the ladies on reception were extremely helpful. I was offered a free head, neck and shoulders massage on arrival which was sooo nice, but firm! The room was good, clean and the bathroom was quite big with a bath and shower. The breakfast was very good, lots of different options, great fruit and yogurt and fresh juices. The hotel offers free computer use in the lobby, they are quite difficult to use and although they look super trendy, it was quite frustrating trying to use them. There was a night market at Silom which is very close and although we didn't use the MKB shopping centre I would go back to do more shopping next time! Overall I would totally recommend the Lit Hotel, very close to the Skytrain and for the price, excellent value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay, I hope we can come back next time.

We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel. I selected this hotel with extensive search on tripadvisor only. The location of hotel is very good, just opposite to MBK mall and walking distance from Siam Paragon and Central world. The staff is very polite and guiding. Some items like 111 bhat free mini bar, 20 min free foot spa are sweet surprise elements but I have some critical comment about hotel:
1. The room design is different. We were upgraded from extra radiance to different degree in advance. The rooms are good but it seems a lot of space is just wasted in bathroom. There is long gallery in bath room wasting more than 4 feet space of room. With a proper design the rooms could have been much bigger.
2. The toilet is partitioned with curtain. No gate? Difficult to understand this aspect of not having a gate for toilet. If you are travelling with your kids it is difficult to manage.
3. Breakfast spread might be good for non-vegetarians but for vegetarian/Indians there are not much choices.
4. For extra orders like Omelettes you need to fill a form for chef. It would have been better if one counter for 'made to order' items could be there like other hotels have.
5. Swimming pool is there but with grey tiles. Seeing black bottom while swimming can not be nice experience.
6. The Hotel is in bi-lanes so obviously the view from rooms are not very great.
7. No activities for kids.

Room Tip: Higher floor, pool facing.

Quirky hotel with excellent staff.. We tried to spa twice and loved it both times and also went to the place across the street for an hr foot massage was pretty good too.. Breakfast was pretty good too.. I understand how the room shape will be weird for some people but we loved how they made the most of the space they had with all the mirrors.. Overall we loved it and the location can't be beat

The location is perfect. You can easily access to the big shopping centers and the Erawan Shrine. The design of the hotel is creative and the facilities are new. Staffs are helpful and the taxi they called is charged by meters without asking us for tips! Overall, it is an enjoyable experience.

We had 5 very pleasant nights at this hotel, and to be honest we couldnt really have asked for more.

Staff - Incredibly friendly and helpful
Room - Impeccably clean and very well laid out. 111 bhat free at the mini-bar each day which is a nice touch. The only fault is that the view was of a building site, so we kept the curtain closed. There is nothing the hotel can do about this though.
Location - Perfect as its a 2 minute walk from the National Stadium Station
Food - Excellent breakfast and the restaurant on the terrace is lovely and unconventional. We went there for the first evening as we arrived too late to go out, and the food and wine were great.
Facilities - Pool quite small but a nice place to relax. Decent gym.

Free 10 minute foot massage at the spa is also a nice touch, though I have to confess to going to the family-run massage place opposite the hotel, which was very cheap.

Would certainly choose again if we return to Bangkok

Room Tip: Take some of the hotel's business cards with you as not all taxi drivers will know where the hot...

This hotel is filled with a friendly, helpful staff. The location can't be beat - conveniently situated next to two sky train stops and several of the big shopping centers. It also has great exercise facilities.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front side of the hotel, otherwise you'll face a brick wall

We stayed at the LIT for 3 nights on our first trip to Thailand.

As we had a flight that landed in to Bangkok late in the evening and being a new country to us we arranged an airport transfer with the hotel. This cost approx. 1400 THB. Although our flight was on time the queue and delays for immigration took hours, once we did get through the hotel rep was easy to fine and they took us straight to our car which was cool, comfy and had chilled water.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were warmly greeted and check in with efficient and the staff very courteous. I had requested a high floor and we were given one!
I loved the quirky room layout - so clever! It really utilised the space to its maximum potential and we just enjoyed being in the room.
Yes if your not that familiar with your companion the curtain for the door to the toilet may be awkward but it didn't bother us!

You received complimentary bottled water, a daily allowance for the mini bar and free wi-fi (which was quick). The beds were comfy and the shower powerful. (Although be prepared for the steam to engulf the room!)

Breakfast was good, ok you don't have the huge buffet sprawl you get a the boring chains but you get a good fresh choice.
A selection of fresh juices, breads/ pastries and condiments, cooked selection to order (I enjoyed the eggs Benedict one morning) plus the Asian choices and fruit. The staff were so nice in here!

The great thing about this hotel is not only is it very good the location was perfect for us.
Down a side street (soi) with food stalls but away from hustle/ bustle noise. It's just a 2 min walk from BTS which if you haven't been to Bangkok is by far the most convenient way to get around. (Fast, cheap, easy to navigate).
You are also walking distance to MBK and all the other shops around.

When we left we got a taxi to DMK airport, this cost around 600 THB.

Overall I will recommend this hotel to all my friends/ family as we couldn't find fault.
Great stay and it was nice to stay somewhere a little different without having to compromise on location, service etc!

Room Tip: Remember their is only a curtain to the toilet!
