“Fantastic Service, Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2012

We stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago for 3 nights, and thought this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at either for work or leisure.

The location is fantastic - just a short walk to National Stadium BTS. MBK was just right across. The fruits from the fruit-seller at the main street (just before you turned into the alley that leads to the hotel) were fresh and cheap, and made for a welcome snack at the end of every night. There is also a local eatery along the same street (if you are coming from the BTS station, just walk a couple of steps more along the main street instead of turning into the alley) which served the best (and cheap!) Thai meals we had (tom yum soup, curry, vegetables etc) during our trip. That, too, we would highly recommend!

The service was impeccable. The staff were always cheerful, friendly and polite. They greeted us every time we left the hotel and when we came back. One of the receptionists even loaned us her personal mobile for tethering when we explained that we needed wi-fi to access our itinerary on GoogleMaps (their wi-fi was down temporarily when we reach the hotel on the first day). The manager also helped us make a call to the Thai massage place when I wasn't sure if I had managed to book an appointment successfully with my painfully limited Thai.

The room was spacious, clean and neat. We especially loved the bathtub (somehow it felt a lot more comfortable than other bathtubs!), and the open concept, but for non-couples I guess it would have been a little odd.

Breakfast was nice - they served fresh fruit juices in clear bottles that you could pick from an ice bucket. The fare did not differ much on the 3 days we were there, but we didn't quite mind that. On the second day, we were specially early and got, to our pleasant surprise, a serving of the chef's special which was pasta in a white creamy sauce. We thought that was absolutely delicious.

All in all, we would certainly stay again at this hotel. It is twice the price you expect to pay for a hotel in Bangkok though, but the experience was so good, it's probably worth it!

We recently stayed at LIT Bangkok for a 2 night stay. We were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of this trendy city hotel. The Kiriya Spa was definitely a highlight! An amazing, luxurious experience and hard to believe I was in the middle of bustling Bangkok, a must try if you are staying here or anywhere close!! Obviously, the location was perfect, a very short walk to the fabulous shopping centres and the best mode of transport in Bangkok, the Skytrain!!! The buffet breakfast was delicious with more than enough choices. The restaurant served delicious modern Thai food with impeccable, friendly service. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and very clean. Free use of 3 computers in the lobby and an espresso machine is a nice touch. Although short, we really enjoyed our stay at LIT and will definitely stay there again next trip. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to those on shopping trips because of its close proximity to the major shopping centres and the Skytrain. It is an inner city hotel with the lot!!

The hotel is new with an ultra modern touch. The room itself was smaller than I expected, but they sure do know how to make use of space efficiently. Amenities include gym, pool, 24 hour access to espresso machine, and all the cool things in the room like toothbrush and 100Baht daily credit towards minibar items.

The hotel is within a 10 minute walk to MBK and the train stop. Ultra convenient to catch a cab or tuk tuk. It is next to another guest house with an Italian restaurant-try it...superb pizza.

We tried their room service for dinner one night as we were completely warn-out from touring. The food is reasonably priced and super delicious!! The breakfast was not as vast as I have experienced at other hotels, but definitely sufficient choices. We had a couple of drinks during happy hour (get 2 for the price of 1) and were pleasantly surprised that they were generous with the liquor.

Loved this hotel, clean comfortable with really helpful and friendly staff. Stayed there in aug and loved using the pool to cool off even in the rain! Room has a very unusual design with bathroom in a long corridor behind the bed, with no door except a shower curtain...a bit too intimate maybe for a new couple or if you don't want to be heard in the bathroom. Breakfast was a little disappointing. We were offered breakfast at fifty percent reduction so booked it for first morning of two. Cooked breakfast has clearly been cooked a while even though it was meant to be made to order. Eggs benedict...sauce had a skin on it. Glad we hadn't booked for second day.

Room was spotless with lovely comfortabe bed. No noise ans easy to sleep. Air con good. Hotel very Kindly offered a late check out as our flight was late. Taxi drivers were not familiar with hotel even though it's very near the big MBK shopping centre. It would be a good idea to carry the hotels card or have a print out with the address. Not much going on in the bar at night but I would recommend this hotel as you will want to get away from the high buzz of Bangkok. Overall we were pleased we stay here as it was very good value for money.

Recently stayed at the LIt Bangkok for 2 nights. Check in was quick and easy.

Location: Less than 5 min walk to National Stadium BTS, and less than 10 min to MBK/ Siam Paragon. There is a complimentary tuk tuk that takes you to MBK

The room: interesting concept having the bath in the room, and the sink literally as you walk in. The sink situated where it was, reminded me off 2 star bed and breakfast ! The use of the curtain to section off the bath and the enclosed shower and toilet, didn't work for me. I could see how it would appeal to couples but it may not appeal to friends travelling together.

Breakfast: not quite as varied as I expected. Yes, there is the menu on the table that you can choose freshly made eggs and pancakes;however the variety and choice is quite poor for a hotel that wants to compete with the rest.

Pool: beautiful pool area. Very let down by the route you have to take to get there. You need to go to the lobby then walk upstairs outside, and then up some more stairs! Can see how it may not be disabled or baby friendly. Can be quite a slippery experience on the stairs if it rains.

The extras: as we booked a radiance room, we received a complimentary 10 min foot massage. You get complimentary 111 Baht "voucher" to use in the minibar in your room, if you use more than that allowance, you need to pay. There is complimentary coffee in the foyer, and free computers to use.
The hotel has free wifi in the rooms ( this is becoming standard all over Asia)

Overall: it may be a 2nd choice should we come to Bangkok again

We stayed here with my adult daughter and all enjoyed the innovative room design, comfortable beds, great bathroom, complimentary glass of wine, great breakfast, charming staff. AND the hotel is so central to Siam Square, major malls and National Stadium BTS (sky-train). The price was a promotion which made it even more enjoyable.

Another great time at Lit Bangkok. The staff is exceptional, services as well, and the location just perfect for exploring the urban jungle. Loved it everytime I go back, never feeling dissapointed by the hotel offerings. You can trust them, they will make everything to make your stay enjoyable. Also, If you need transfer it is better to organise directly with the hotel, otherwise you can have unpleasant surprises. I would happily recommend.
