“Disappointing”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

Our usual hotel was full and after the fantastic reviews on the LIT and its location we decided to book our 3 nights stay in March. Overall, a disappointment if compared to the number of quality hotels in Bangkok. But let's bear in mind hotel was recently opened so staff still need training and as a family, this was definitively not an appropriate choice. Feel that the hotel is trying too much to be high tech. Breakfast choice is tiny but does the trick.
Pros:
- Rooms are spacious
- Location, location, location => especially for shopping
- Minibar package part of the room rate
Cons:
- Staff still needs training as of March 2012 (check in was slow, "concierge" too noisy/curious, housekeeping missed fine details, booking a spa treatment was difficult)
- Very limited food choice and expensive considering quantity/quality
- Swimming pool not accessible for wheelchairs/baby strollers (can only be reached via staircase)

Hotel is best for solo/couples/friends travellers who want easy access to BTS and fantastic shopping choice.

I needed to stay in Bangkok on way to Nepal and decided after reading reviews on trip advisor to book here.Staff fantastic and helpful. Also stayed on way back and was upgraded and free internet which was appreciated as lobby internet too modern for me (touch screen)haha.
Every thing I had read was true.Lighting a bit difficult to follow, bath and beds extremely comfortable.Great being so close to art gallery and shopping.Must also recommend he traditional foot massage and reflexology treatment I had third floor Siam Discovery which isvery close by( Clinic Thongnoppakhun) )Discounted 10-3pm and totally authentic and best foot treatment.
Spa was very nice at hotel, lovely therapists, a treat ,but expensive.

Location is convenient! Walk less than 10mins to MBK / BTS.
Staff are polite & helpful, whole environment is cozy & with privacy, unlike those big-scale tourist hotels.
Definitely will stay @ Lit again!

Close to the city center, the great shopping (MBK, Siam Paragon/Discovery/Square, all a stones throw away) and great food spots, LIT Bangkok is the perfect hotel for exploring this great city. The hotel itself is clean, modern and well designed, with a great pool that's area the cherry on top. The restaurant (pricy by Thailand standards) has great food and friendly, helpful staff. We asked for a late check out since our flight out had been delayed and we were accommodated at no extra cost. Overall a great hotel to stay at with the staff making the entire stay an absolute pleasure.

Well were do I start. Faultless luxury hotel. I have stayed all over the world and think this is the bet I have stayed in.
Reception staff, door man James and porters all excellent. Lovely rooms with free wifi. Location perfect for centre of Bangkok but is up a quiet street so may be intimidating for single travellers.
Right beside MBK centre.
Lovely spa, pool and steam room. My highlight was the breakfast. Nicest staff I have ever encountered. Nicest breakfast I have ever had.
To be brutally honest I could go on but this hotel will not be beaten in Bangkok so I will never stay anywhere else when hopefully I return.
Well done to you all. Thanks

This is an excellent Hotel, approximately 5 minutes from the National Stadium Skytrain stop (take Exit 1). The Hotel is at the end of a narrow street (quite local, but without any security problems, disregard worries of other reviewers).
Convenient location, 5 minutes from the MBK and Siam Paragon (shopping places). The Jim Thomson House is also a few minutes away, go back to the avenue and take the next street parallel to the one of the Hotel.
The Hotel is not as formal as others in the Shopping centers or the traditional river area, but is very good for Bangkok sightseeing given the proximity to the Skytrain.
The Hotel staff (reception, restaurant, cleaning, massage, doormen) is extremely nice and attentive (good English too). The room (Extra Radiance Room) was very nice and original. The bed was very comfortable and all clothing very nice too. The rain shower was also perfect, although for some reason the sink was somewhat slow at some times during the morning. You get a 110 BHT daily allowance for the minibar. Excellent free wifi. Good air conditioning.
Breakfast was very good, you can order omelets or scrambled eggs too (fill up the order sheet on the table). We had dinner the nigh we arrived and was also good.
Very good massage facilities (they have a complete menu). In the lobby they have a coffee machine where you can make your own expresso for free anytime you want.
In summary, the perfect place to stay in Bangkok.

Tucked in a small street you will find The LIT Bangkok. It is a new hotel which is obvious upon seeing the facade. The Architecture of the building is very sleek and modern design sets it apart from the neighboring cheaper hotels in the area.

Just a few minutes walk from the Siam Paragon, MBK, Siam Center, Emporium and Siam Discovery Center this hotel is perfect if you are planning on just shopping your way around Bangkok.

The rooms are kinda small compared to other hotels but that is because the layout of the rooms are very odd. It is like half of it is the bedroom and the other half is of of the bathroom ( as you may notice in the pictures posted )

The hotel gives you free WiFi and you get free breakfast in your stay there. The closest BTS station are the SIAM station and National Stadium which connects you to various stops around Bangkok.

The hotel amenities certainly do not disappoint, very modern and clean. The staff is very helpful and very attentive to your needs. This is a none smoking hotel so please do keep that in mind. Although you can smoke outside of the hotel it is forbidden to smoke inside, you will be fined 2000 Baht if you smoke in your room or within the vicinity.

Although there are cheaper hotels around the area the hotel speaks for itself as it is one of a kind. Certainly a good value for your money with the service and location it offers.

The hotel offers nice selection of Cable channels and it also allows you to use their gym facilities. The pool is small but very nice as you can see in the pictures below. They also have a Spa that is very nice and uniquely found in the LIT.

The A/C tend to be warmer than expected, it takes a long time to cool but it will be enough after half an hour. The security of the hotel is very tight, you will need a room key card to access the elevators which is very nice.

The view is of the city, although it is kinda obstructed by the design of the facade of the building. It is within the city so not a lot of nice views but buildings old and new in the area.

The LIT hotel offers in room safes and is large enough for small laptops or iPads. They also offer a free tuk tuk service around the city center which allows you visit the areas such as the mall complex in the vicinity.

It is a very nice choice if you plan on doing some major shopping in Bangkok!
