We traveled with our family. Dad who was 75 then the rest of us. We were picked up from our cruise ship and it was a 2 and a half drive.
Marissa was there to greet us right away. We did the classic tour. Saw many sites, road in Tuk Tuks. Went to the flower market and saw many more sites. Had a great lunch then we rode the teak boats. Went through a markets and saw the floating market. Very full day and we all learned so much about Thailand.
We were taken back to our cruise ship we got back past 7 pm. Long memorable day. Would reccomend this tour. It was a very hot day but that is normal for this area. We just made sure to wear hats and drank alot of water.

Hi MinnFamilly70,

Thank you for taking your time to write this excellent review, It is so happy for us to hear that your family especially your father enjoyed our tour with Marissa. Is it not the best thing you can do in Bangkok to familiarize yourself with the city with just the little time that you guys had.

Thank you again and please tell all your friends and family to come try our tour when they have the chance to be in Bangkok.

Tom and the Pandan Tour Teams,

We took the Bangkok Classic tour from Pandan tours and were very satisfied with it. The tour gives a great overview of the main sights of Bangkok in a short time. We went to the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Artist House and rode around in the Thonburi canals. We had a very nice lunch in the Artist House, the place had a great atmosphere. Our guide Anan was friendly, kind and caring and had a lot of knowledge. We got a good overview of the history of Thailand, buddhism and the everyday life of Thai people. He repeated some facts many times, but that actually helped us remember these things better. It also helped to make thing clearer because sometimes it is hard to understand other accents if you (like us) are not a native English speaker. After the tour we wanted to go to the Royal Theatre for a performance and Anan dropped us off at the theatre and came inside with us to make sure that everything is OK.
We have just one suggestion: it would be good to use a microphone and headphones on the canals because it is very hard to hear the guide over the noise of the boat engine, especially for people sitting further away from the guide.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide, Nui for our weekend floating market tour. The places we stopped we would have never found on our own, it felt like we were experience authentic Thai life! We could tell being a tour guide was Nui’s passion, she was very informative and detailed with all of her explanations. Would highly recommend her to all considering this tour. Overall, we had a great time seeing Thailand through the eyes of a local and would recommend this tour!

We were looking for something to do, sort-of last minute because an attraction we were going to visit was closed. I found these Pandan Small Teak Boat tours and the staff was very prompt is responding to me, and setting-up a half-day trip for us in the afternoon, even though it was New Year's Eve. The guide (Anan) is a really fun guy - we loved how he serenaded us with popular songs from the 1960s, which is how (according to him) he learned to speak English. The tour itself was very pleasant - a calm and peaceful change of pace from the packed temples. We especially enjoyed the trip to the Orchid Farm and seeing the various animals and birds in the area. When we were finished, Anan stayed with us until our transportation showed-up, to make sure we got back to our hotel OK. I highly recommend this tour!

A great escape from the city and a quick break from all the shopping malls. I highly recommend anyone coming to Bangkok to take a 4hour break on this really relaxing tour around the old capital of Thailand’s canals and enjoy its serenity and the warmth from the local people.

The meeting point is a 30mins train ride from say Siam Paragon - where most of the shopping malls are. So we planned to head straight for the tour right after our late morning-early afternoon shopping spree.

We met our guide, Ginger, and walked to the boat to begin our tour. We were offered to visit either the fancy temple or a 250 year old temple. We didnt have to think twice about choosing the old temple!

Our first stop was a 45min boat ride to the Orchid farm, where they had rows of orchid plants in bloom, in a variety of colours; purple, orange, yellow. We were offered a soft drink and the owner gave us a beautiful stalk of orchids in the deepest purple we could find on the farm.

Along the canal, you will see a few different kind of birds, monitor lizards, locals peddling food on the river (maybe I was lucky), and some very pretty gardens. The less glamorous versions would be the dilapidated and failing buildings that were destroyed by the flood in 2011.

Our next location was 15-20min away by boat to feed the HUGE catfishes along the canal. The guide offered us two loaves of bread to feed the fishes (you can and should buy more :)). The catfish were savages and they came thrashing in the water, flopping above one another to get to the food.

Next, we headed for another 15-20min boat ride to the old temple where we were introduced to the history of this canal and the importance of its location. There we were allowed into the temple when the monks were starting to pray. You should also take your chance to capture the architecture against the backdrop of the setting Sun.

After exploring the temple, we walked to the Artist House, a little cafe by the canal where we were again offered a drink. We sat by the canal in this cafe, and enjoyed the orange glow from the setting sun.

This was basically the end of the tour, when we headed back to our former meeting point. Our tour guide offered to alight us at a different train station for our convenience after learning that we were heading to Chinatown for dinner - how thoughtful.

I would like to praise the Pandan tour team for the excellent customer service and knowledgeable guide who could point out with her sharp eyes the birds and lizards along the way. From the very start of planning/booking this tour, I communicated with the company using email and Sheena was quick to reply, taking no less than a day to revert to me. Our boat captain was also very empathetic to slow down when he saw that we raised our phone cameras to take photos. Kudos to the team and the guide!
