Reviewed April 3, 2013

I literally did RESEARCH to find the perfect hotel in Bangkok. We were a group of four, with different budgets and wanted something that could accomdate everyone. I have stayed at the Pullman G and can tell you although it looks like a REALLY cool hotel, between the two The HOTEL MUSE is MUUUUCH cooler.

PROS
1. ROOMS The rooms are awesome, clean and diverse. As in to say one of us got a duplex (AMAZING), another a regular room , another person got a corner suite with a cool bathtub and the fourth in are party got the coolest room of all the niman or something like that (it has an outdoor terrace with AN INCREDIBLE VIEW)
2. PRICE I was suprised at the price to be honest and that is why I originally did not want to book here.

3. ATOMOSPHERE; The rooftop bar we had dinner had was one of the funnest nights in bangkok, The cocktails had a really old school feel to them , the staffs costumes/uniforms are adorable as well.

CONS:
They told us they were going to pick us up at the airport and they forgot...that was a bit well rude to say the least. BUT whatever, when you are on vacation you let things slide. IT was just suuuuuper annoyint to have wait around confused and calling the hotel long distance on roaming only to find out they hae no idea what your talking about.

So in conclusion, if you are looking for a funky little hotel...look no further. Just DONT expect to much from the staff...(like an airport ride!)

We arrived at the Muse and surprisingly, the pictures were actually exactly correct. The front entrance is grand and impressive and the bedrooms lovely, with a gorgeous wooden hidden drinks cabinet, little features like a travelling case looking set of drawers, decent TV and nice big bed with lovely, quality linen and duvet.
For me, the most impressive part was the bathroom, separated from the bedroom by a big glass window (which can be covered by a blind, who's switch is located next to the basin), featuring a huge tub and a separate rain shower, with all the bits and pieces you'd expect in a 5 star hotel (even a free shoe shine service).
The breakfast was a typical Bangkok 5 star hotel mixture of food to cater for all tastes and nationalities, with pastries, omelettes, stir-fried noodles, fruit etc. The dining room, again was opulent and tasteful.
The bar on the top of the building was beautiful, with fantastic views, but INCREDIBLY expensive. 2 small bottles of beer cost nearly a tenner.
So far, apart from the Pullman (which it transpired is a sister hotel to the Muse), I would say this is my favourite 5 star hotel in Bangkok. Highly recommended.

Muse hotel is a beautiful hotel nicely located close to the BTS and at walkable distance to Siam center. The staff is discrete and efficient. The Italian restaurant Medici is a "must visit". A place to recommend to stay in Bangkok.

This must be one of the best boutique in Bangkok, could not have thought this is the same sister hotel of run-of-the-mill Novotal and ibis. Attention to detail in this hotel is most impressive, with dark marble bathroom, dark-wood panelling, un match interior art deco style, this place bring many classic chic moment with all modern amenity unmatched of any 5 stars hotel. Due to the hotel petit in size, the guest services are friendly and attentive making everyone feeling an individual service to each guest.
Don’t forget to check out the rooftop bar in the evening to chill out or just layback to enjoy the super comfly bed.
Location is good at an upmarket area of town and a short distance to major shopping district in the city. Do take advantage of free tuk-tuk ride to BTS station or nearby Central Department Store.
If you fancy an extraordinarily dinner must try Gaggan just short 5min walk away from this hotel.

Dear yoong w, thank you for your review on TA, delighted to read that you had a great experience with us, yes people very often describe us as the best boutique hotel in Bangkok and our very innovative and unique interior design is definitely top notch. Thank you also for mentioning the service received from our staff, they are a real credit to Muse. Location, well you’ve said it all and glad you enjoyed our Tuk Tuk as well. Gaggan just down the road is great, I love it too.

See you soon

This hotel is beautiful! I didn't stay here, but had lunch in the traditional Thai restaurant and twice had drinks on the rooftop bar. It is chic and incredible. If don't mind spending some serious cash, this would be a good place to stay. Otherwise, you could do what I did and stay 1 block away at the very nice Luxx XL and just come to the Hotel Muse Rooftop bar in the evenings, which is worth the money. The traditional Thai restaurant is not worth the money, in my opinion. I suggest getting some street food right outside of the hotel, and then going to the rooftop bar for drinks. Service is very good, but just as good as at less expensive hotels as well.

Dear KLPMadison_Wisconsin, thank you for posting your review on TA. We definitely welcome non resident to our Food and Beverage outlet, in fact they are incredibly popular but I would say that if you are after the perfect experience then staying at Muse is a must so you can enjoy our fabulous bed so often mentioned on this site, our great bathrooms and the atmosphere and great innovative interior design of our hotel, you will travel in time back to the 20’s and 30’s. As for Thai food there is no doubt that street food is an experience in Bangkok but cannot be compared with our Sutharos restaurant, it would be rather unfair on both. I suggest you stay 2 nights with us and experience both….what about that?
Thank you again for your comment

Great location : you can walk (often faster than a car in Bangkok !) to Paragon Mall and, even closer, to one of the best restaurants in Asia : Gaggan. Talking about food Muse itself is better than average. Highlights are the well-designed rooms, the quality of the bed and linen, the rooftop bar and generally the feeling that some thought and effort has gone into the product.
This is let down by service glitches such as breakfast either not delivered at all or missing items. Contrary to some reports the standard of English is quite low but there are other staff to help out. Other areas for improvement are the check-in/out which take too long. And a less surly concierge would be a good idea.

Room Tip: Ordinary room for value or balcony suite for splash out.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, 1 in the Yama Residence and 2 in the Dusid Duplex in March 2013. Located at Langsuan, it is just a 10 min walk away from Chidlom BTS. Services from the hotel staffs were efficient and mostly speaks English. Breakfast was quite standard provided by the hotel. The overall atmosphere/ interior design of the hotel are rather unique and make me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The staff came and assist with my shopping items without any prompt at the hotel lobby and sent it to my room. This hotel also provide free wifi connection, however the signal in Dusid Duplex was rather poor so I had to use my own 3G connection on the DTAC network. The swimming pool at the 19 floor is spectacular, overlooking the vicinity of the hotel. It is a "MUST GO" in such a hot weather in Bangkok.

Dear TCL96, thank you for posting your review on TA, glad to read that you very much enjoyed your stay with us and that you especially noticed the service received from our staff. Our décor is unique in Bangkok, back to the glorious year of travelling in the 1920’s and 30’s. We are aware of our free WIFI signal not being so strong in our duplex area and are looking into fixing it shortly.
Thank you also for mentioning our great pool on the 19th floor, it is rather small but cute
Let’s hope we can see you again soon
