This hostel is great. We're a group I 4 girl and had booked a 4 dorm shared bathroom for 2 nights.
Brand new bunk beds, with your own light and socket, clean sheets and really nice clean bathrooms for shared ones. On the top floor is a female only bathroom which is nice too. Very comfortable in the room with a locker also.
Staff were so helpful and friendly an spoke very good English. Breakfast is standard bread roll with tea or coffee.
There are many stairs if you have a heavy backpack! Location is good and right next to the night market and food stalls

Every room with AC, good continental breakfast included, everything so clean.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, they try to do everything to make your stay comfortable and nice.
I stayed there five times in two years. After one year the hostel just get nicer.
There is a seperate room with a huge LED backlight TV, room is also AC.
Another room Tischfussball two new PC's (fast Internet) and a cooler full of drinks for a a good price.
Woman at the reservation knows a lot about Bangkok and Thailand so just ask her and she'll know a good answer.
Hostel is also very central because skytrainstation (bts) and the mrt are max 10 min walk close.
There is also a nightmarked every day where you can get a lot of stuff.
So just good things to say about this hostel.

Room Tip: Every room is clean, quiet and comfortable.

We had booked with Smile Society prior to our arrival in Bangkok due to its great recommendations, which proved to be true! The staff are very friendly and always there to help! If you need any suggestions on where to go or excursions near Bangkok, you don't need to waste time on the net, just ask the owner, she's a great source of information and speaks English very well. The place was spotless and we met many amazing people during our stay here. It's located within a short walking distance to a lively night market as well as the metro system. There was always hot water and fresh breakfast. The owner even packed us breakfast to go when we had to leave for an early flight!! On our way back home we had 2 nights in Bangkok and naturally we booked with Smile Society again. I look forward to returning soon! **Side note: Khao Son Road is only about a 150 baht cab ride away (always depending on traffic).

Room Tip: The wifi works better closer to the main floor.

This Hostel is great! It is well maintained and very clean. The air condition makes the stay very comfortable and items in their mini bar were very reasonably priced. The location is excellent as well, less than 5 mins from the bts station. The two sisters made my stay very wonderful. They also gave very helpful tips to each guest on how to travel around bangkok. I want to say a big thank you to Khun Bee and her sister for constantly accommodating my needs during my stay! Though they say that the reception closes at 8pm, I always see Khun Bee and her sister working into the wee hours accommodating guests requests. I will recommend and be back!

Room Tip: Its a hostel. All bed are somewhat equal.

Smile Society is located around the corner from Patpong, but don't let that put you off. It's actually an excellent location in the financial district, close to Sala Daeng BTS and Silom metro. There is excellent street food to be found just across the main road, plus banks, the usual 7-Elevens, Boots etc. etc. It's easy to get pretty much anywhere from here, and you're guaranteed a good night's sleep as the dorms are spacious and quiet (aside from the keycard security doors which tend to make a bit of a racket if anyone opens or closes them!).
Overall I would be more than happy to return here.

My only (minor) gripes would be the noisy doors, the keycard situation (the aircon, electricity & lighting in the rooms only works if a keycard is left in a slot by a bed, which means you can't just leave your phone / camera battery charging, bit annoying) and the fact that there is stuff piled around everywhere - I think they're about to add a restaurant onto the property which is why there are dining chairs stacked everywhere).

It's so clean though - I went to use the loo at 3am and the floor had been freshly mopped!

Smile society is a clean, affordable and homely hostel.

Not twenty minutes away from the Skytrain allowing you easy access to most of Bangkok.

Short walk to PatPong Night market and Lumpini Park.

Staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. I arrived without a booking looking for a private room, as none were available my girlfriend and I were offered an 8 capacity share room to ourselves for around 1000 baht.

Smile Society is located on Silom Road just few mins walk to MRT,Resturants ,markets etc. Just opposite is the Bangkok Bank which has money exchange. Patpong night market is just on the left hand side when you exit soi 6 Road . For those looking for Indian food there is one on Silom Road. Hostel is very close to train station as well.
The sisters who manage this hostel are sweet and helpful. During our stay she provided us with lot of information. she arranged our kanchanburi tiger tour and also our airport drop. Breakfast is simple tea/coffee, juice, bread, muffin and croissant. She helped us pack our breakfast when we left for Kachanburi tour early morning. we booked a room with 4 beds with attached bath. Room was clean and tidy.
They have a TV room and 2 computers with free wifi on the first floor.
Note: This hostel doesn't have an elevator.
we have to take off our footwear at entrance/lobby area.
