Khao San road was our drop off point of our cross border land trip from Cambodia. Finding the location of the hostel was quite a challenge but we made through. It's actually just a step away from khao San baan guesthouse and just a 5 minute walk to main khao San road.
We stayed dorm-style room and we find the room spacious and cozy. Wifi connection is not that bad and I love the breakfast they serve.

Arrived early in the wee hours of the morning and were accommodated by the friendly staff as soon as the guesthouse opened! We had a very clean and spacious room with a balcony for two nights. About 10 minutes walk to the famous Kao San Road and 20 minutes walk to the grand palace and wat pho! Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay :)

We stayed there at the beginning and the and of our Thailand trip and we loved this place.
We had a AirCon Room with balcony including breakfast for 750 B per night.
The room was clean and the shared bathroom was also kept clean al the time.
The stuff is very polite and the make good milkshakes! The breakfast is also delicious.
It is at the end of a road, so it is very quiet - also it is near to Khao San and Grand Palace!
If you are in Bangkok stay here :)

The BEST thing about Sivarin is the CLEANLINESS!!! You must take off your shoes before entering the guesthouse but the floor did not have a single crumb or dust spectacle on it ;) . They make sure that everything is super clean (perfectly white sheets and towels), they have daily room service and you get complimentary water bottles everyday. We gave them our laundry and it came back still warm and smelling oh so good! A/C and Wifi worked well. Oh and they had good food for good prices too (comparable to other places in the area) Definitely would stay here again!

Yes, it is shared bathrooms, but even on our floor, I believe all 4 rooms were occupied and I only had to wait once or twice for the bathroom the 3 nights we were there. There are also other bathrooms that you can use if the one on your floor is occupied. Only bad thing was that the drainage didn't work very well in our bathroom and if you know what wet bathrooms are like, it sucks to have to brush your teeth or use the toilet when there are a couple cms of water in the bathroom......

It is located just about 7 mins walk from the touristy KSR and Rambuttri Village as well. We visited those places but we also found some great spots along the main road for food (May Kaidee's Vegetarian restaurant and Aloha house restaurant) and massage (Sabai Dee). Also, there are plenty of 7-11s and a big supermarket about 5 mins walk away with sidewalks full of great food stalls along the way :)

This place is great if you can only afford the hostel lifestyle but don't want the ghetto-quality of Khao San Road. Yes, there were about 10 mosquitoes in our room upon entering. And it's shared bathrooms. The staff was great for what we needed. They provided directions and breakfast, and even hailed a cab for us in the rain. But there isn't the same spirit here as other guesthouses. The staff doesn't seem to want to get to know you, and there really isn't a place to hang out with other guests. This was fine for us, since staying at guesthouses for a lengthy trip affords you little privacy anyway. But if you're looking for something with a convivial atmosphere, you might want to look elsewhere.

Room tip: The main floor rooms are nice and convenient since there's no elevator.
