Like some other reviewers we stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package deal and had fairly low expectations. Location - The hotel is not right in the middle of the shopping district but there is a subway stop pretty much next door and taxis are dirt cheap anyway. I think it was $2 (60 thb) to get from MBK to the hotel. There are a few 7-11 shops a short walk away. The only issue we had was a lot of taxi drivers and a tour company didn't know where the hotel was (because it is new) so take a hotel card with you so you have the address in Thai. Hotel is also only a short walk to Lumpini park, and opposite the Muay Thai stadium. Service - We have stayed at quite a few 5 star hotels, and this was the best service we have experienced so far. The staff are extremely attentive, and helpful without being overbearing. We were never long sitting in the foyer without being asked if we needed any assistance. The duty managers in particular were excellent and one even personally removed our towels from our room after we forgot to change our do not disturb one day. Room - We stayed in a junior suite which was very roomy and comfortable. There was a separate area for luggage (very big space and nice not to have our luggage in the main part of the room) and a little office, The bed was comfortable and things like aircon and lighting were easy to control using the panel near the bed. Various mod cons and extra touches including our name pre-set on the phone.

Dining/bars - The hotel has a restaurant and a separate bar which also serves snacks. We received one dinner and 2 breakfasts on our package. The set dinner was okay but a bit bland with quite small servings. It took us around 10 minutes to find someone to seat us and at one stage we were the only people eating there. Breakfasts had ample variety including made to order omelettes. I would most likely only go for breakfast if we stayed again.

We also had a cocktail and a meal at the cocktail lounge/bar. We were the only people there even though it was night time which is a shame because it is a nice area. Cocktails were ok and snacks were big (almost more than we had for dinner!).

This hotel is admittedly not one that would have stood out to us if we didn't get our travel package. There is no shortage of top notch hotels in Bangkok at great prices so its hard to stand out from the crowd. Having stayed there and...More
