Checked in Tuesday January 20th to a very friendly receptionist. Hotel is very clean and well located in Sukhumvit, tucked away in a quiet substreet without the hassle city feel. The best part is the staff which makes my one night stay very rejuvenating and hassle free. Look forward to becoming a guest here again!

Park plaza, 3night stay 4th to 7th Jan 2014, about 250 bhat from airport in a taxi if you tell him "no highway" but this only works in off peak hours if it's rush hour take the highway to avoid major traffic. Staff at Park Plaza are great, very helpfully, reasonably good English, and one of the concierge even asked us one day "please sir tell me one thing I can do for you today" now that's impressive! They always get the door for you and take your luggage. Rooms are fully adapted to take any power socket type, wifi is great and the roof top bar and pool offer happy hour from 530pm to 730pm everyday, but don't forget to spray yourself with mosquito spray. Hotel is close enough to all the hustle and bustle but tucked down a nice wee side street so it's still quiet. Soi Cowboy is about 5minute walk and Nana Plaza about 15mins or so if you are there for that kind of thing.

Fantastic little hotel in the middle of the action. For a very reasonable price we were upgraded to a larger room with breakfast, excluding our 10 year old who had to pay half the price. Still a good deal. The breakfast was varied and very satisfying. We also got to briefly enjoy the rooftop swimming pool, which had great ambiance during the happy hour. One can sit in the lounge chair with a drink in his hand, while looking at the moon. Quite romantic. The location was also ideal. Being close to Asoke station and Terminal 21, seeing or buying anything is no problem. In addition, there were couple of good restaurants next door, which is ideal if you have a tired child with you. The room had a separate places for WC and a shower, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The wi-fi also worked very well. Since our plane was leaving next day(stayed here two nights) at 7:00 am, the hotel prepared breakfast boxes for us to be ready by 4:00 am. This was very convenient. I would definitely recommend Park Plaza-Soi 18 as it is good value with great location.

Even though there are a bangkok shutdown with protesters a small walk away, we felt very safe.

The hotel staff greeted us at a very late check in. We were a few hours late from koh tao, and the bangkok shutdown didn't help (poor taxi driver, we gave him a few bath in tip), but we were greeted by everyone, the doorman, piccolo and the 3 lovely ladies in the reception.
We upgraded to a better room with breakfast buffe, and i must say, it was worth it!

The room was spotless, modern and the bed was unbeliveable soft. The room had a nice design, but the window from the bathroom to the room is puzzeling me( you can pull down a curtain to cover, but it can be a bit akward..).

Since we had a late arrival and no food for 7 hours, we were tired and didn't want to go out after an 12 hour trip. Luckilly they offer room service until midnight, so we had a late salad. Delicious!

Breakfast was difficult; what to choose? So much delicious fresh food, and a staff that greets you and serves you the coffe and tea,as much as you like. Lovely!

The staff was more then helpful when we needed direction or tips, a tip about the park nearby was much appreciated. (Before you arrive at the emporium shopping mall)
Check out was efficient, and a taxi was already there when we were ready to leave for the airport.

Great hotel for a few days of shopping before heading home, i will recommend this to everyone, it's in a quiet street, close to everything.

Stayed for 5 nights here in December, having arrived from London via Moscow. The journey to Bangkok was not the best and made worse by a 36 hour delay in the airline getting my average-sized, below-allowed-weight case to me. I will avoid Aeroflot in future!

However, the stress was relieved with a warm welcome at the Park Plaza, and a decent kip in the excellent bed in a Club Room - highly recommended.

This hotel is a short distance from the Sukhumvit Road, and unless you have restrictions in walking is well located for the BTS/MRT.

Club Rooms offer enjoyable early evening canapes which are seemingly under utilised - it is a real pleasure to be in the hotel at this time, as there is a superb ambience and the staff are very good at making you feel wanted in the hotel!

The roof-top floor is a nice escape, and breakfasts are good.

Overall, a very good hotel that will be returned to.

Well done to Peter Lucas and his team.

Room Tip: Club Rooms are worth the extra

Stayed for 5 nights and upgraded to club level. Super handy location with bts and mts literally 5mins (max) walk away. Overall this is a good new hotel with a great roof pool ( although limited amount of sunbeds) great rooms and a great location. Personally I found the constant asking for my room number every breakfast time and when visiting the club lounge in the afternoon a little tiresome after a few days but that's my quibble! Overall great stay and would recommend in a shot to anyone wanting to stay there. Wider area has numerous bars, massage places, shopping malls and street food available .....not to mention soi cowboy ( which I recommend everyone goes at least once)

Room Tip: Go for the 7th floor club room but don't expect a view from any of the rooms. The hotel is a mid...

The Park Sukhumvit 18 is not to be confused with the other Park in Sukhumvit. Situated about half way down Soi 18, this is a very nice hotel with a boutique feel and is nicely located. From the Asok station it is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel is new and has modern rooms fitted with very comfy beds, large flat screen tv's, a huge desk, minibar, in-room safe and generously sized bathroom. One word of warning though. There is a large window between the room and the bathroom. While there is some kind of a blind which can be lowered, it does not offer much privacy. So, if you are not sharing the room with your significant other, be prepared for an interesting experience. The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool and bar which is a welcome end of day escape from the heat of Bangkok. In the lobby there are 2 iMacs for guests to use and some very comfy loungers. The staff at this hotel are very helpful and accommodating and our various requests over 2 different stays were always met with courteousness and a smile. Giant and Chay deserve a special mention for always going the extra mile. We initially stayed here for a night on our return from Burma and when we checked in we realised that we had in fact booked the wrong date (our booking was for the next night!). However, the check in clerk was quick to rectify this for us and to cancel the wrong booking. We were taking an overnight train the following evening and we were allowed an early afternoon check out. We kept our baggage in the hotel storage and showered at the rooftop pool showers before our train journey that evening. The hotel was happy to keep our luggage for the next 8 days as we travelled to Koh Tao & Koh Phangan as we were coming back to stay at the Park Soi 18 for 2 nights on our return. The hotel is situated right next door to a very popular local Thai restaurant and we ate a very delicious meal here. Our early morning check out was painless and a taxi to the airport rail link station is about 20 minutes.
