My husband and I had Bowie as a guide. She was so sweet and went out of her way to make sure our food tasting experience was fabulous! We ate so much food we could not eat dinner! The food choices and locations were unique and truly genuine Thai! Not commercialized in the least.

We had a tour guide called Olive and she was fantastic. She was funny and was hopefully with all questions. The first place we went to was interesting. Very different food but it was great try. The second place was this noodle place and it was the best place on the trip. I could of eaten 3 bowls of the food. The third stop was the flower market which was okay. It probably went for a little to long for myself. After that we went to the temples which was gorgeous at night time. We went to the roof top bar after that and to our disappointment they weren’t serving alcohol due to a Buddhist day so we enjoyed a mock tail which was okay.
The last spot was the best pad Thai I’ve ever tasted. It was amazing!! There was a huge line so we thought we would have to wait for ages but the tour guide had already arranged for us to go straight in which was perfect.
Our driver for the night was great too. Super friendly and dropped us at the hotel after.
Overall it was a great night and a great way to taste great Thai food.

My boyfriend and I were really excited for this food tour, having seen the great reviews. We were pretty let down by the result; our guide spoke very poor English and was unable to give us much insight into Thai culture and history, which would’ve added so much to the trip, the food we had on the tour was fine but only one stop really sticks in my mind, the rest felt pretty gimmicky and it felt like the focus was on packing in as many far-flung spots as possible, rather than actually getting a taste for some unusual Thai cuisine. For what we paid, we were pretty disappointed and certainly wouldn’t recommend this tour to other travelers.

Definitely worth doing. The tuk tuk ride was quite an experience, you go around with a group of around 10 people. Each couple are allocated their own driver for the night, after meeting at the MRT station where you meet your guide. Our guide Ron, was great and very informative. You are taken to three different restaurants, that are not flash by any means, but serve good traditional Thai food of different varieties. The egg noodles, served at the second place were superb and when you get taken to the kitchen to see how it’s all cooked, it’s an eye-opener! It’s an excellent way of seeing a lot of Bangkok, including the flower market and Wat Pho which you spend time at. The roof-top bar is nice to have a beer or non-alcoholic cocktail near the end of the tour and by the time you have the phad Thai, you’re stuffed! You are taken back to your hotel by your tuk tuk driver. Would definitely recommend.

The Midnight Tuk Tuk Food Tour was a highlight of my five day trip to Bangkok. Our tour guide, Jongie, shared cultural insights while guiding us to top Bangkok restaurants, bars, and temples. The final restaurant (Thipsamai Pad Thai) is known to have an hours long wait to eat there, but we even got to skip the 1 hour + line of people and walk right into our meal. Felt very VIP.
