We had just flown into Bangkok and were staying at the hotel across the alleyway. Started off nice, some of the staff were lovely and welcoming. There were 4 of us and we asked for separate bills as we were paying separately. The food came out for 3 of us, by the time we'd finished the 4th meal came out and was missing half the meal we'd ordered. As we were waiting for food we saw a few rats hanging around which was actually the first time I've seen a rat in Thailand after being here for 2 weeks. Three of our meals were disgusting, one of them was deep fried pork strips which were just bits of fat, couldn't even eat it. When the bill came it was all together and in Thai so we were attempting to work out how much we each owed through the price of our meals and drinks. One of the guys we were with asked if they could translate for us and the young boy ripped the bill out of his hand and stormed off inside. When he and the manager came out we explained and the manager was very accommodating and then left us with the young boy staring as we worked it out. As we were sorting out the money, mid-conversation, the young waiter leant across the table and ripped some money out of our friends wallet and walked inside despite us protesting. We worked out later he short changed us exactly 500baht, probably pocketed it himself. Disgusting, would never go back and suggest that people AVOID this place at all costs.

Tucked away down a soi off Sathorn Road near Chongnonsi train station. Super food at really low prices with local staff just about enough English to get by. Great deep fried prawns, fish cakes all the basics and well cooked. Hot if you ask for it but otherwise not too spicy. Eat for less than £10 per head Inc beer for a great meal in very clean place, well worth a try for value and just great cooking.

1)Environment : Good, clean & quiet
2)Food : Spring roll is delicious n prawns fresh..Most of the food..n cheap.
3)Service : Very friendly...The owner's mother can speak mandarin. They are Thai-Teowchew. Poor thing, not all the staff can speak english. The owner's daughter should guide them some simple english.

4)Location : Easy to find, show to any taxi driver.

We were staying at the Glow Trinity Silom hotel and were told about this place. We were not expecting a lot from it when we stepped inside. This looks just like home, my gf said when we had sat down. So I reckon it's genuine.

I ordered Tom Yung Goong and was just delighted. My gf and her sister were just as delighted with what they had. We left feeling very satisfied and having come across a real bargain.

We had dinner there 2 more times during my ten-day visit. Hope to have some more of that TYG soon again.

We found the restaurant and were really looking forward to our meal because of the great reviews. Maybe it was an off night but the meals was only average in regard to taste and lacked the complexity in taste that we have been experiencing in other restaurants.
