We booked online for a double bed but they gave us a double decker instead when we checked-in. No problems there as we were only staying a night at 720B for AC double decker with ensuite bathroom. To us it was pretty reasonable. Location was excellent as it was a short 5 mins walk to the BTS station. The staff spoke good English and very friendly. Coffee & tea were free flow and they had a nice lounge area with a flat screen TV. Usage of internet at the lounge area is chargeable at 20B / 30mins but wifi in rooms were free. Rooms are designed with the 'industrial' look, ie. cement floor and exposed pipes. It was clean albeit a little dark. The double decker was sturdy and very comfy to sleep in and each bed has it's own reading light. The only complain was the thin walls and the noisy pipes, as they were exposed, whenever someone uses the toilet upstairs, we could hear loud flushing sound going through the pipes! So we were lucky the person upstairs didn't had a bladder problem when we were there. Will still come back but might opt for a different room sans the pipes.

The hostel is a short walk away from Phloen Chit BTS Station, and this station is two stations away from Siam BTS, which is the pretty much the hip and happening center of new Bangkok.

The hotel looked new and the interiors fresh and easy on the eyes. There's free WiFi in the rooms, which never failed while we were there. There was no TV in the room they put us in though. The walls were pretty thin so you can hear sounds from the hallway.

A major hassle for us was the sliding door our room had, we had so much difficulty turning the key once it was in the slot. We had to stay in thd hallway for a good 10 minutes before we can figure out the technique to open the door easily. You have to nudge it a little sideways before turning the key so the door would open without a fight.

I spotted some small flying insects on our second night. I don't think they're mosquitoes, though.

Overall, the hostel still gets my recommendation because of its affordability and location. Certainly one if the best hostels I've been to.

no problems, just a little pricey for us. if 800 baht works for you it's a great place. new, beautiful, smart, well-designed, A+++ staff which makes a huge difference, good english, nice lounge (wifi, free coffee and tea, and a few seats) and free wifi in room. only concern was a walls are thin so sounds travels much too easily. rooms are also small but so nice we didn't care. oh and bunk beds were a bit silly for a couple but liked it so much there i didn't even care so much. very clean (they missed a beer can hidden up high - otherwise spotless!)

BED BANGKOK! There aren't enough good things to say about this place. We stayed here 3 or 4 different times during our trip around southeast asia. It was our little home away from home. The staff is SO GREAT. We had many troubles- getting robbed, losing things and just a bit of a chaotic trip, the staff helped us figure out our troubles and treated us like good friends.
This place is small which I really like, it's quiet. A little oasis in Bangkok. And great places to eat nearby with some good bars within walking distance. And the skytrain is only two minutes away.
and this place is only a few months old so the showers are so clean and new. nice nice nice! We miss you guys! Liza and Gavin (american and Australian).
Don't stay in Koh San road- a tourist trap! Stay in the real city!

Great place to stay! The hostel looks very new with youthful design. The staff, every single one of them, were very friendly and helpful, and most importantly, they spoke fluent English. Because it was a small place with only a few rooms, the staff knows each of their guests. We had an early flight out and needed to be at airport around 4.30am, and the staff helped us to secure a cab.

I stayed with a friend in the four bunk bed room but throughout the 4 nights it was only us so we could lock our room every time we went out. Also, the lobby can only be entered with an access card so it was great for security. Rooms were air-conditioned and the bathrooms were very clean, you could walk barefooted in it. Toilets have bidets and tissue, important if you're particular about this.

Location is another plus point. Although it is located on a quiet area, everything else is walking distance. Which is a good thing if you want a queit and peaceful place but still not isolated from the buzz. There are at least two 7-Elevens a stone throws away. The Phloen Chit Skytrain station is 5 mins walk. During our stay we went to a lot of places using the Skytrain/MRT so it was convenient. If you want nightlife within walking distance, just walk down Sukhumvit road and there's plenty of options - there's Bed Supperclub, there's the infamous Soi Nana and Soi Cowboy "red light district", and there are Burger King, McDonalds -- all nearby.

Oh, and free WiFi was definitely a plus point for me because I had a smartphone. It was fast as well and I was able to upload my travel pics every night. In Bangkok, it is very hard to find free WiFi at malls etc, even Starbucks charge you 150 Baht for 30 mins of WiFi.

Don't know if guests are allowed to bring pets but there was rabbit belonging to the receptionist running around at the lobby at night, very adorable creature!

Downside? I can't find any. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent stay in Bed Bangkok Hostel for 4 nights. The location is superb, it's on Sukhumvit Soi 1, not so far from Siam and Pratunam area (good for shopping trip), only 5 minutes walk from BTS Ploen Chit. KFC, McD, 7 eleven, food courts are near the hotel. The room is modern and tidy, the bathroom is clean, the blanket is comfy, the blanket is fluffy. Moreover, the staffs always smiles, very friendly and helpful. Good value for your money!

What sets this budget hostel from the others? Their top notch service.

We arrive their quite early in the morning and was greeted by their lovely staff. Although the regular check in time in most places is 12.00 pm, bed bangkok immediately check our booking, check us in and showed us to our rooms! No question ask at it was like 8.00 am in the morning.

Jay was absolutely amazing, they all can't do enough for you and does go extra mile for their guests.

The room is ok, clean and comfortable. Well worth what we paid for. We had the room for 4 people, there were 2 bunk bed. The toiler is fine, a bit small but it's ok. Their reception area is air conditioned , give free coffee and tea.

The location is ideal as well as it's located near the bts station, around 10 mins walk. There are also lots os restaurant around the main sukhumvit road so no problem at all. family mart and 7/11 is easily accessible.

Overall, we all had a wonderful stay at bed bangkok and will definitely be back! In fact, we already decided to stay there this September!

Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking at a budget place to stay at in Bangkok.

I can wait to meet their staff again!
