“NY style but the Asian way”
Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

I get regular to Dean and Deluca in Asian countries and love it ! If you are done with a ricy lunch ( which takes some time in my case ) this is the place to experience a NY eatery the best way. The pastries are great, the coffees idem, the sandwiches a bit flat, the salads okayish. The venue itself looks great, a spacious place and the staff is friendly the Asian way ! Only remark is that the chef Raymond shouted at his staff the Gordon Ramsey way in a full house which is not the way you get respect from Asian staff ( stay a few more years and you will notice what happens ) but also not from your farang customers, be respectfull and you will get respect !

Reviewed December 23, 2013

I am not impressed with the food, as food as simple as poached eggs are not done well. It is overcooked

“A Bit of NY in Bangkok”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

Executing consistent quality and continually improving, I have little bad to say Dean & De Luca in Bangkok. They have successfully captured the DNA of the franchise and consistently deliver good food and attentive service. Don't expect a full service experience - it isn't supposed to be one. This is a deli on steroids and well worth it to the traveler, expat or local who wants a great atmosphere and good food.

“Good for some dishes”
Reviewed December 7, 2013 via mobile

We tried several breakfast dishes, some were excellent and others were ordinary, so it's probably a matter it trying a few different things and sticking to them. Coffee was ordinary but the cakes/pastries were good. Not the cheapest place in town, but quite good service. The place was packed at 8.30 on a Sunday morning.

“Great selection of cakes and afternoon quick lunch”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

This is a self service cafe but they do deliver the dishes to the table. Food came very fast from the time of order which is good for the hungry and overworked ladies at my table. Highly recommended and we would return for :-

1. Salmon & Crab Cake
- i love the accompanying salad and dressing which taste sort of pesto

2. Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin
- the garlic sauce that came with it was soooo amazing. the pork was super tender, suspect sousvide treatment

3. Crab Louis Salad
- would have like a light dressing to it but i have to say the crab meat was large, fresh and super yummy

4. Mango Sticky Rice shake
- the must have when you go to this outlet. it is so so soooo good, my little discovery is that the shake is best enjoyed with a soup spoon, are you get big mouthful of the goodness. i am already dreaming of it. it is really a toss between the real thing and this one. I will try to return and have one for the road each time i visit BKK from this moment forward.

5. Cakes selection
- the dessert counter was an absolute feast for the eyes if not anything else. we ordered the strawberry shortcake and the caramel chocolate mocha mousse. I guess we had it sat on the table too long while we were having our lunch and it lost the right consumption temperature. Made a mental note to only order the dessert or have them serve it when lunch is over.
