There is no lock in the back door which means anyone can climb and get to your room through a 2 feet wide balcony! They said it took only 5 mins walk to the Krung thon buri BTS station. But it actually takes almost a kilometer on foot. The room is quite dusty. Wifi is just a sign on the door. It never works. There is nothing interesting to watch on tv and the hotel is really close to the highway and the sky train track so it is a bit noisy. But for those of you who don't mind listening to cars beeping at each other and trains that come and go every 10mins. This place is a true heaven for you and in fact if you are ok with this hotel you can stay anywhere in Bangkok.

now, out of 6 hotels during our 3 weeks stay, this was the best place we stayed at.. 2 tv, 2 ac, balcony, kitchen, microwave, kettle, sofa, chairs, semi hard bed not usual for thailand :) and so on.. it filled like home, only alot smaller, everything suited our needs, but when it came to sleeping time, total disaster, appartment is located near a highway, and the windows are badlly noise isolated, so that even if they are closed, it fills like you are slipping on the highway.. but since noise dosnt bother me, it didnt disturbed me, but if you are a light sleapper, look elsewhere.. the location of appartment is really good, on the right (short walk) you have a BST train station, which will cost you 35bath per person to get in to the hart of bangkok, on the left (short walk) will get you to the river ferries, 3-3,5 bath to cross the river then take the river ferry to the any of other piers which is for 15 bath per persson will get you to the grand palace, temple of dawn and reclining budha and so on.. also on the left and crossing the highway from your right will get you to the shopping mall senaFest, there you can find alot places to eat or buy anything else at the shopping mall... i would recommend to avoid the appartment restaurant, while the food is ok, it is pricy, better walk to the senafest and have a wide selection of chinese restaurants...

In fact the room itself is not bad at all, and there is even a kinda modern decoration touch around that can grace your eyes !
We rushed into this hotel because it was the closest to our friend's place, and rushed out a few hours later to the airport in the early hours of the next morning.
It comes at 1100 room only and all taxes inclusive. All this right from their website.

We appreciate :
-Large suite room, kinda condo, with a small kitchenette.
-The effort the Sarasinee deploys with some amenities, here and there...
-The free wifi

We don't :
-Being along the 24h roaring highway, do expect some disturbance, as window frames are total loose. It is just like sleeping in your car, when exhausted, parked in a service area. You eventually fall into sleep. May we suggest you to bring your own earplugs, they'll greatly help.
-The bed worths the 1000 baht we paid...

So, one must have a valid reason to stay here, otherwise, try something in the area, WELL away from the terrible highway ... We don't see how the Sarasinee can improve the noise concern in the future. But to be honest, we were VERRRRRRY happy to find it there, exactly when we needed it most, and exactly at the price, and the place we were ready to fork out. Who knows if it'll fit you like a glove ?

Room Tip: All good rooms are good with big earplugs

Nice, clean, modern hotel. Not too big and well worth the 1000baht I paid each night.
The rooms are more like a small apartment and I believe people actually live permanently in the hotel/apartment block.
Rooms are fairly large with kitchen, fridge, air con, living area (with L-Shape settee), en-suite bathroom and seperate bedroom. The bedrooms are well designed with queen sized double bed, flat screen tv, safe and very modern. However, expect to be woken up early morning as our room was facing the busy motorway in to Bangkok.
The hotel itself is located the other side of the Chao Praya River from the city and is a little far out for my liking as I usually stay on Sukhumvit (lower end Soi's). However, Klong San BTS is only a short 10 minute walk. About 5-6 stops away you will be at MBK/National Stadium.
Breakfast is average and buffet prices around 120 baht. The nearest shop is about a 10 minute walk (TOPS supermarket or King Power).
One bad point (however not so important) is that I needed change for my taxi on arrival at the hotel. I had a 1000baht note and the hotel staff would not change it for me. They stated I had to buy something from there bar to be given change.
Overall nice, clean and modern hotel. Would only stay again if I needed to be that side of the city.

Sarasinee All Suites
Hotel suites were comfortable because there were two extremely clean rooms so we were not in the bedroom all the time. This was a very clean hotel. We really enjoyed the infinity pool on the top floor where we could overlook the city. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We could order eggs to our specification. We highly recommend this hotel.

Being near the river, gives you easy access to all the major sights. Also the ambiance and excitement of the ferry boat rides in the daytime and at night adds a lot to your visit.
Enjoyed our short walk to the river through a park where people exercised.

You can take a free ferry to Asiatic Shopping Center.

Room Tip: Our room was away from the busy street.

Our hotel was just a few steps away from the SkyTrain station, Krung Thon Buri. The staff was very friendly. couldn't get our rooms because of the early arrival but left our bags at the reception and the rooms were promised to be ready at noon. We walked around the neighbourhood and I had a nice soup at one of the street kitchens. We found the ferry which takes you to the other side of the river in few minutes. Costs 3,5 Baht.

Room was very nice. Clean and fairly new. There was a living area with bar, big fridge and a microwave. Separatebedroom was spacios. TV set in both rooms. I had to give a little thought to get the shower working (without glasses) and I learned that there is only the knob on the wall that needs to be turned. Breakfast was good and only 130 Baht. It was convinient to have the breakfast separetely because we had to leave so early and wouldn't have the time for breakfast anayway.

The swimming pool are on the top of the room was nice. The water was a bit blurry but I had a nice swim anyway. The swimming pool steps were in bad shape and it is wiser not to use them at all. The shower was in the same space as the toilet. Was dark and only cold water. No pool bar, so we got our drinks from our own fridge.

We got the ferry to the other side a couple of times. You can also walk across the bride but the ferry was more convinient. Got the river express boat and went to Khao San road to get the joint tickets to Kha Chang. There are lots of stops by the river and you can easily miss the right one. But no worries, you juststep out and cath another one back. The price varies around 20-40 Baht. Couldn't quite figure out the price politics:)

We walked a lot during the two days in Bangkok. The first day especially since we missed the last river boat from Khaosan road to Sathorn Taksin. We asked many people but there was really a problem: understanding and speakinf English and also not understanding the map. Finally got talking with a sweet Thai couple who had no idea where they were since they didn' know this side of Bangkok. They got information from the locals and walked us to the right bus station and waited for the bus with us. The bus was so full. And the bus trip was quite long. It was so hard to keep awake. Luckily the conductor told us when our stop came. We really rushed out throug the masses of people!

From the bus stop we could see Hotel Sangri Laa. It is so good to have something like that just opposite to your hotel:)

To begin with, they switched off the lights of the board with the hotel name at night which ensured it took us 45 minutes looking for the place.

The staff is helpful though, the check in was fairly quick and the security guy accompanied us to the room and quickly explained what's where and how to make sure we were comfortable.

Now for the horrors - They call it a Suite with coking facilities but all there is was microwave - no plates, spoons, plates. Well I guess the microwave was skin safe so you could heat stuff on your palms.

There was an almost empty bottle of shampoo ( with french text, from a previous guest) with a few strands of hair pasted on the bottle ( possibly for DNA identification if required)

Having stayed in various places, noise is not an issue for us but if you are a light sleeper we suggest bringing ear plugs

We could not figure out if the heavily advertised ( photoshopped) swimming pool was actually a pool or an aquarium. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and the layer of dust and dead insects was clearly visible.

We checked out next morning and moved to another hotel.

Room Tip: A good room will be in another hotel.
