This hotel felt like it should have cost about 3x more than it did per night. The pool is off the hook and the staff is very professional. Our room was very recently renovated and had all the modern touches. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom as well. Location is great, it's about a 5 minute walk from the main drag but it's actually a good thing to have a buffer between your hotel and the crazyness of Sukhumvit.

Room Tip: Don't skip the pool.

Great new, clean, modern hotel, with nice views and good rooms. We staid 2 nights and then extended 5 more nights because it was so good! Convenient tuck-tuck service to the BTS, on a quiet street. The rooms we had had amazing view over the city, even though we "only" were on the 11th floor. The pools is nice (and cold) and the gym is very good! The breakfast was average, but not bad, the restaurant is small and quiet.

Hotel is clean and new and there is nothing to complain about. Has a nice pool and a pretty good breakfast. We were staying 3 people in one room. The first one we were given had no space for the 3rd bed but the friendly staff changed us immediately.
Location is good. Thai street food and Western type food options in the same street within 3 minutes walking, as well as 3 convenience stores and 3 massage places.
Sky Train station is 7 minutes walk away. Location also easy to describe to taxi drivers.
Small flaws of this overall great hotel:
- WiFi was not working for the 4 nights of our stay.
- Room was quite dark
- Ceilings a low

This boutique hotel has superb and friendly staff. It is a modern, well appointed hotel with first class fixtures and fittings. Breakfast is great. I also like the location. It is on a quite street but close to the sky train and underground metro system. There are lots of taxis close-by. There are many restaurants nearby on Sukhumvit Road and in the Soi. It is very close to Soi 22 which has a range of restaurants. This a very good hotel.

This was our 1st stay here but most definitely not our last!

Breakfast is a sumptuous feast with many choices that are actually replenished regularly.

The room ( 605 ) was SO comfortable and quiet.

Staff are great and very attentive.

The WiFi is the only point that let this hotel down. It is simply prehistoric!!!

Do not expect to rely on WiFi being available when you need it.

Room Tip: Just Ask for a quiet room.

Stayed here for three nights and had an enjoyable time, there are many pros and cons to this place.

Pros:
- The staff are very friendly and knowledgable, the porters waiting downstairs especially deserve praise as they were always willing to help and would go out of thier way to assit us (googling things for us, arraging cabs, etc.).
- The complimentary tuk tuk that takes you to the sky train was very helpful as the long walk there in the hot sun is not enjoyable
- Best beds I slept in, never wanted to get out
- Very clean, comfortable, and large rooms
- Complimentary water when entering/exiting

Cons:
- Far from the busy parts of Sukhmvit, don't stay here if you are looking to wonder the streets at night in hopes of finding something to do
- Charged us 1/2 of what we paid per night for an extra person
- Shower gets the whole washroom soaking wet and takes forever to drain
- Expensive drinks in the "bar" go to the wine connection next door if looking to have a casual drink
- Wi-Fi was horrible, very sporadic connection

I would stay here again if looking to get away from the bustle of Bangkok since it is isolated and very quiet.

Also, make sure you specify which Golden Tulip you are at as there are two and taxis get the two confused.

We stayed at the Golden Tulip for 2 nights (m/f 24-33) with friends. The service is great, the wait staff and the front desk were very helpful and friendly with all the questions we had. There is a free ride to the metro station and the pool is very nice (although we didn't swim).
We stayed in a typical king bed room. The beds are the most comfortable and luxurious things to sleep in. You will never want to get up. Bathrooms are also new and have all the typical items available, shampoo, soap etc. It is clean and there is free water bottles available when you leave and return. There are a lot of places to eat near by as well as services like massages etc.
Downfall, it is a bit far from the main area of sukhumvit (it is on Soi 20 and most busy areas are on Soi 1-11) and requires quite a walk to get there. There is no free breakfast but there is a restaurant attached to eat at as well as a bar. The WIFI is very touch and go and cuts in and out. It is a weak connection to rely on.
