“Disappointing number of wax figures”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Initially I didn't want to go to Madame Tussaud's because I knew it was still new and therefore it must have fewer collection than those in Hong Kong or UK. Also, the ticket is quite expensive even when purchased online (800 Baht if you buy on the spot, 640 Baht if you buy online). However, my travel partners talked me into it and I agreed.
The number of the wax figures is indeed disappointing. However, I was happy to see my first president, Mr. Soekarno, standing oh so gallantly in the front part of the museum. The museum itself is quite interactive and informative, so if you're there to learn (not just taking pictures with celebrities like I did), maybe the price is worth it. Most figures are almost identical to the real ones, but I some others are not anywhere near identical.
Also they don't have lockers in the museum. I had to carry my tote bad and shopping bad and drop them on the floor whenever I wanted to take a picture. I hope they will provide free lockers in the future as it really bothered me not to be able to store my stuff and only take my camera inside.
I think it's a pretty good place to have fun in Bangkok whether it's raining outside or you just simply want to avoid the sun. If you're planning to spend a day/ half a day shopping in Siam area, you can definitely make time for Madame Tussaud's. If you're a bit tight on money but still want to visit the museum you can purchase early bird ticket online which is like 400 Baht but it's only valid if you visit the museum from 10am-12pm. If I'm not mistaken this promo lasts until February 2013.

“Excellent way to kill an hour or two”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

It is not the best wax museum with some of the figures not really that reflective of the real life people. e.g. Mel Gibson's figure replicates Mel from about twenty years ago. It is however a good way to kill a spare couple of hours in Bangkok. There is one price for locals and another price for foreigners. I don't mind this so much as there are so many locals that really could not afford to see this without the reduced pricing. Remember, make sure your camera battery is fully charged as they will not accomodate you by allowing you to charge your battery once you enter the room - we found out the hard way!!

Its a great creation of human hands. You will really remember the moments later while going through photographs clicked here. Go with full space in camera for clicks. There are a lot.

“Cool - just make sure you go with a friend”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

The only thing I don't like about this museum is the George Clooney looks so fake. Others are excellent. You learn something about Asian leaders and local artists by visiting this museum. Please be sure to go there with a companion so you don't disturb other visitors and ask their helps to take your photos with the "celebrities"

Real-life size of wax sculptures of the famous person around the world, nice for taking photo, some games inside, and that's it!
