Owner description: The largest indoor playground in the heart of Bangkok, FUNARIUM is the perfect place for the whole family with children aged 0-13 to spend time together. Our 2,000 sq.m., air-conditioned facility has world-class safty standard play equipment, fun art & crafts activities and a cafe serving fresh, healthy, local & international cousine. Adults can join in the play or relax whilst children crawl, run, climb, jump & slide with new/old friends!

This is a great place for kids up to 8 - for hot days, days when the rains come down, or when you just want to relax, read the paper and let the kids play.

We have four kids closely spaced. From the time they were 3 till the oldest hit 8 we bought the annual membership here. Weekends often meant one morning, Saturday or Sunday, at Funarium, kids burning off energy, doing artwork, cooking, and having fun, while we relaxed. On those mornings when I was alone, I'd drop them off just as the place opened, do the grocery shopping next door at the Tesco, and be back before the crowds hit. The young ladies were great with the boys, knew them by name, and made sure they stayed out of trouble.

I only give the place 4 of 5 for its price - quite high for four kids, if you don't buy the annual membership. And for the food - which is largely junk stuff, ice cream, jello, cupcakes and things that kids like and therefore parents buy. They should be more socially responsible and highlight healthy items a bit more.

Thank you for spending time to give us your comments. We are glad you have found fun-arium a great place for your children.

With regards to your comments on our food, I would like to point out that since our opening over 3 years ago, our 'Fun Cafe' has been serving Thai and international cuisine to both the children and adults. Out of over 100 items on our menu, we have soup, salad, spaghetti, rice, noodles and vegetarian dishes which are freshly cooked with quality ingredients. We are, perhaps, the only family entertainment center with full restaurant operation in Thailand. Many families have got together at fun-arium during lunches and dinners just to allow their children to enjoy themselves whilst they enjoy their meals too!

We realize that many customers may not know about our food & drink choices, so we have recently redesigned our menu with photos. In your next visit, kindly review it and tell us what you think.

Thank you again for your comments, and we look forward to seeing your family again soon.

Yours sincerely,

We really enjoyed the funarium, it was great how we could get involved too! It isn't really for older kids, but our 3, 6 and 7 year old had a blast. I LOVE that absolutely everyone is required to take their shoes off at the door, and the fact you have to use hand sanitiser on the way in, and there is little sanitiser stations everywhere! Usually after heading to a place like this at least ONE of the kids pick up something, this time there was not even one illness! The cleanliness was exceptional.
They have areas set out for different ages, and also a circular bike riding area where they change the option for blades to bikes every hour or two (Bikes are free, blades you have to hire) - they also have a small court where you can play with heaps of soft balls. Its all caged in so you can go crazy lol! The slides were the most fun, the kids loved them and its not a huge hike up to the top like other places. They keep the fast ones slick and you can really pick up some speed (which hubby discovered after missing almost a whole bump from getting airborne!)
We had lunch there, and the food was SO yummy and reasonably priced too. Another great feature is there is no money exchanged while inside, anything you buy is just scanned onto your wristband and you fix up the bill on the way out.
Definitely a great day out if you have younger ones and rain is on the forecast! From memory it cost us about $20 to get in :)

You can read all about this on my blog, but this place is great. They even have a bike track, arts n crafts, cooking classes. Just needs wifi for adults!

This playground for kids up to 8, is mainly used for birthday party outings. There has been special attention for hygiene and safety ( which is rare in Thailand). For tourists there are better places to visit and see than this near Rama 4.

I have been told by lots of BKK locals and expats alike that I MUST check out this place with my toddler, so we finally went after our toddler's fourth trip to BKK. While the place was generally clean and the equipment was adequate, I failed to see what the big fuss was about. Also not cheap. And avoid the coffee in their cafe.
