Sleek newer hotel 1 block from skytrain which helped allow us to move around city. Long walk to Sukhumvit road and Patpong night market. Prior reviewer's description as "residence hotel" accurate. Breakfast nice with Western and Asian foods pretty typical of this caliber hotel. Our rooms had washer and dryer which were very convenient. Very helpful staff. Long infinity pool. Free access to minibar was a plus.
For next trip to Bangkok I would probably stay closer to river. That said this is a great choice for this location.

We stayed at the Hansar in Bangkok for four nights in August and I am so glad we did. We chose the hotel based on its Tripadvisor reviews and it truly deserves its high rating.

The hotel is perfectly situated and very central, right behind the Four Seasons and the St. Regis hotel and provides excellent value for money.

We booked one Urban Suite and one Studio Suite and both rooms are very spacious, feature very nice design and offer great amenities. The Studio suite was great as it has a washing machine and small kitchenette which was very useful to us travelling with a small baby. The Urban suite was very large, featured an indoor garden and had an amazing bathroom. We also had great views over the city from both of our suites.

The breakfast was very good, concierge services very helpful and the gym and pool are not to be missed as well.

I would highly recommend the Hansar for families traveling with children who are looking for a central location, luxury surroundings, nice design and above all space, which can be hard to find in the big cities. We will most definitely come back.

Room Tip: Studio Suite has a washing machine which is very handy. Urban Suite is very large and great value fo...

I have stayed in many nice hotels throughout Thailand and the Hansar is without any doubt the best by far! It is beautiful, the service is impeccable and the rooms are amazing. The bathroom is almost a religious experince. You feel as though you are staying in a first class apartment (including the enclosed in room atrium) with all the perks of a five star hotel. In addition to all of this the price is very reasonable. Downstairs you have a quartet consisting of four amazing musicians and vocalists. This is not your normal hotel band by any means. Upon arrival you will be greeted as if you are some sort royalty. The hotel is brand new and runs like a fine watch due to the Manager and his staff. By the way, the mini bar is free and stocked daily.

This hotel is simply excellent. It has a free mini bar. it also has excellent staff, an ideal location, huge spacious rooms, a large desk, a fridge, a delightful open plan bathroom, super comfortable bed, great free wired and wireless internet - and it has a free mini bar. The Year of 2011 will be the year that I celebrated free internet in most normal hotels - and respectfully declined internet charges in the abnormal ones, or simply never stayed there again. But 2011 will be the year that I stayed at The Hansar Bangkok, a hotel that for the first time in my life, provided the contents of it's moderately yet well considered mini bar to me and all of it's smiling guests for free. And this is how life should be, shouldn't it? Even fancied some M&Ms and three beers at 3am but shuddered at the bill when you checked out? Not at The Hansar Bangkok. Check out Happy. Bravo Hansar Bangkok, bravo! I think I love you.

Stayed 2 nights in early august 2011 part of our trip in Thailand. We've expected much more from the nr.1 hotel in Bangkok based on TA's ranking. This boutique hotel did not meet all our expectations. Here is a small list :
- pros : big room (or suite), nice staff dedicated to the customer (sometimes too much sometimes too few), free minibar in the room, free wifi, big bathroom with separate powerful rain shower/tub but bathtub is not real marble (fake), 2 TV's, buffet breakfast is good and restaurant for dinner is very good but pricey.

- cons : bad smell in the room entrance (due to the wall of plants?), too much carpet in our room (edge suite 1418), bad view from the room, room wasn't cleaned very well upon arrival (old newspapers), only 2 lifts, getting back to the hotel by taxi is not easy as it is not well know yet by taxi drivers and you should always explain it's next the Four Seasons...Over charge the private transfer to the airport.

So after saying that, we'll surely not come back to the Hansar and we will give a try to other places where we can get more for our money (as this place is not cheap too!). Look for another place.

I stayed for six days with my girlfriend in March 2011. Best hotel stay I have ever had in Asia. Customer service is excellent. Very helpful and extremely kind. The hotel is beautiful. The construction and design is really impressive. Deep dark wood floors. Natural light. Green. We slept well every night. We were especially excited about the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend! I plan to stay at the Hansar in Ko Samui when I travel through Thailand once again. A great experience and well worth the price.

Room Tip: The higher the better!

This was our favorite hotel of this vacation! I can not wait to return to Bangkok and stay at Hansar. It is amazing. The staff are helpful and kind and no detail has been missed.

We were upgraded at check in. We also mentioned to Candy who checked us in that it was our anniversary and the next evening there was a cake and roses in our room with a Happy Anniversary message. Wow! Candy wasn’t the only staff member who went above and beyond to make our stay great. We also loved the extremely polite and helpful hostess called Nice, who works in the Vue Bar downstairs.

The location is perfect- near the sky train and the Siam Center. You do need to use the sky train to get to most places. When you arrive at the airport- be sure to have a map or information about where the hotel is- because it is new not all taxi drivers know it. You can tell them it is behind the Four Seasons and that is probably enough information.
Unless you are traveling alone- it is cheaper to take a taxi (300 - 400BHT depending on traffic) rather than public transportaion (also faster) from the airport.

The room was huge and had the most comfortable bed I have ever been in. The bathroom had a great shower and bath. There were 2 sinks and plenty of counter space.

The breakfast was incredible. There is plenty of selection and great service.

Our favorite part of this place was the live entertainment in the Vue Bar each night. The piano player arrives around 6ish and then around 7 the rest of the band shows up - the voice of the piano player and main singer were well above the normal standard for bar music. We couldn’t believe how empty the place was considering the talent of those perfomring. Also amazing, but not cheap, is the Hansar Martini - possibly the best drink I have ever had. They had extended happy hour (buy one get one free) deals for hotel guests.

I suggest booking directly with the hotel to possibly get extra deals.

Stay here- you won’t be disappointed.
