We found this hotel to be a little worn down in the bedroom wings. We had a river view room and it was spacious enough and it was clean. The staff was friendly, the breakfast had somewhat a smaller selection of choices, but it tasted good. They have a big pool and garden that is a great place to relax. The river almost inside the garden was a big + for us. They have a free shuttle car that wioll take you too the nearest BTS (skytrain) station on the hour. It is a 10 minute walk to the ferry across the river and 10-15 minutes to Icon Siam. We had a great stay and will probably return here on a future stay in BangkokMore

Ibis riverside not for families

Cons: the rooms are too small not ideal for family with one kid too and there is no ROOM SERVICE v need to order the food and pick it up from the restaurant so if the kids cry in the night u r left stranded
Pros: location of the hotel on the riverside and the swimming pool it’s scenic

If ur travelling with family kindly avoid this hotel
If ur travelling single it’s highly recommended

Short stay

Perfect hotel for short stay for family . Excellent facilities / good food / helpful staff . Position of hotel perfect what you need to explore Bangkok ! Lovely pool and bar area too. Definitely recommend

Convenient location

The hotel is quite small follow by ibis concept but full facilities that u can enjoy during stay. Near by bot of culture & post modern sightseeings in town. Impressive by the riverview which cant find any hotel's price in BKK.

Good hotel on Thonburi side next to the river

We enjoyed the view at Ibis Hotel Bangkok Riverside, which is next to the river. The pool is very large and has a separate area for young children, but closes too early. Breakfast was excellent and you can choose to dine here for lunch and dinner. The staff was excellent and very helpful. You can book local tours and airport shuttle here, which may be more expensive.

It was 7-10 minutes walk from the BTS station, which was bad because of the hot/humid temperature and heavy traffic when crossing the road. The hotel has a shuttle every hour to take you from the hotel to the station, which I would recommend to increase to every 30 minutes. The room was quite small, especially the bathroom. We paid extra to get the river view, but the trees were blocking most of the view.

Room tip: Don't pay extra for river view

Another great stay

This is the 2’end time I stayed at this hotel and I still love it.
A bit noisy due to families with kids but that is only around the pool and not all day. Great breakfast and great staff. I will go back for sure.
