Moka is without a doubt the best little coffee shop I've been to in SEA. Fantastic coffee made by people who actually love and care about espresso coffee. Great food, warm and friendly staff, gentle atmosphere and the best dressed pooch in town. If you are anywhere near Khaosan Road (ถนนข้าวสาร) make your way to Moka (on Rambutri Soi - runs parallel to Khaosan). Aussies and Kiwis - these guys actually do a really good Flat White too. The people who are making your coffee are trained baristas and the coffee is smooth and full bodied with just the right amount and right density of microfoam. I can't tell you how much of a relief it was to find this place after all of the abysmal coffee experiences we had been having.

There is also some really cute and quirky art done by the owner operators and all sorts of other treasures and the artistic flare carries over to the coffee art and presentation of the food too.

All in all a great experience every time.

Come for the coffee... It's brilliant. Stay for the home made cakes, whatever the daily special is... To die for, we had carrot cake and could have eaten about 8 pieces each. And explore while you're there - this is a gorgeous little place, so many little treasures for sale and super freindly hosts. A great little escape from the bustle!

The coffee in Moka is a present in a cup!
If you search for a quality coffee like you are used to at home, you have to be in Moka coffee. Aside from the coffee there is also the beautiful art made by the owner.
The owner and staff take honour in perfectly prepared coffee and meals, served with warm hospitality.
We felt right at home!

This delightful little cafe is smack-bang in the middle of a busy tourist zone with lots of people from all over the world bustling about. It was such a pleasure to slip off our sandals and spend some time in this arty and fun coffee shop.

The coffee and eats are excellent and served by friendly, easy-going staff.

As with a lot of Thai cafes they have really made an effort to create a pleasant space. The chairs are comfortable and the music was delightful (Zee Avi - I asked).

They have books in which customers are invited to draw and write a little something. It was fun to flick through these and see what others had contributed before adding my own sketch to the tome.

Another feature of this cafe is the art-work, which seems to be produced by some sort of local co-op (I think, don't quote me on this). They sell pictures, stuffed animals, fridge magnets and other inexpensive do-hickeys of that nature. Not only is this a great cafe and a lovely chill-out space, it is also a place to acquire some quirky and cheap gifts to bring back to friends.

All in all this is a very nice spot -- deffo drop in if you're in the area.

Highly recommended.

Look no further! A small shop in Rambutri Rd, parallel to the popular Khao San Rd, located in a private house, this place serves what is without doubt the best coffee in Thailand. Making good coffee is no easy job and requires knowledges and understanding. Only very few places in Asia is this art performed to the highest standards. And surprisingly, at this humble place it is practiced to perfection. Well done!

There are also pastries, soft drinks and sandwiches for sale, so you can have a small meal if you're hungry. I came here quite a few times and was never disappointed. I would highly recommend this place.

To find it, walk on Rambutri Rd just pass the Green House and the small lane, it is roughly opposite the Viengtai hotel.
