This delightful little cafe is smack-bang in the middle of a busy tourist zone with lots of people from all over the world bustling about. It was such a pleasure to slip off our sandals and spend some time in this arty and fun coffee shop.

The coffee and eats are excellent and served by friendly, easy-going staff.

As with a lot of Thai cafes they have really made an effort to create a pleasant space. The chairs are comfortable and the music was delightful (Zee Avi - I asked).

They have books in which customers are invited to draw and write a little something. It was fun to flick through these and see what others had contributed before adding my own sketch to the tome.

Another feature of this cafe is the art-work, which seems to be produced by some sort of local co-op (I think, don't quote me on this). They sell pictures, stuffed animals, fridge magnets and other inexpensive do-hickeys of that nature. Not only is this a great cafe and a lovely chill-out space, it is also a place to acquire some quirky and cheap gifts to bring back to friends.

All in all this is a very nice spot -- deffo drop in if you're in the area.

Highly recommended.

Look no further! A small shop in Rambutri Rd, parallel to the popular Khao San Rd, located in a private house, this place serves what is without doubt the best coffee in Thailand. Making good coffee is no easy job and requires knowledges and understanding. Only very few places in Asia is this art performed to the highest standards. And surprisingly, at this humble place it is practiced to perfection. Well done!

There are also pastries, soft drinks and sandwiches for sale, so you can have a small meal if you're hungry. I came here quite a few times and was never disappointed. I would highly recommend this place.

To find it, walk on Rambutri Rd just pass the Green House and the small lane, it is roughly opposite the Viengtai hotel.

An oasis in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. It is cool and relaxing. Not a huge place but very relaxing.

Shoes off at the door means you could eat your lunch off the floor. Very clean.

The coffee is up there with the best and the hospitality of the staff is amazing.

During our stay we tried the banana and caramel waffel. Delicious!!

The carrot cake is fantastic and the Guiness chocolate cake is to die for. Yumo!!

We also had a lychee and mint drink and a mango drink, both were delicious and very refreshing.

Check it out for yourself. We stumbled across it. It is near markets near Khao San Road. You won't be disappointed.

If you're in Bangkok be sure to stop by and meet the girls at Moka Coffee and appreciate their hospitality and creativity. You'd be hard pressed to find friendlier coffee shop owners anywhere else.

My wife and I have now been back 4 times over the last couple of years and it'll be our first stop when arriving in Bangkok this March (Probably the #1 reason we actually chose to transit BKK)

Their caramel banana waffles and iced coffee are a must to try, located on the southern end of Soi Rambuttri Moka is somewhere you can actually get away from the hussle and madness of the Khao San Rd area.
