fun and clean and in a great location. and with computers so you can always contact home. the street is a perfect distance away from the main busy roads and it's safe (as a teenage girl i was able to walk home alone and be fine). The street had a boutique feel and the people who worked behind the desk were very friendly.

Very close to Khao san road but on a much less busy street with lots of good food and vendors. The room was ok-just a backpacker basics- a small room with a bed and shared bathroom facilities. Did npt try the restaurant by the reception as there is a lot of great street food. You can leave your bags downstairs after you check out, in case you need to.

I have stayed here numerous times when passing through Bangkok. I usually get room 406 which is high enough above the street to reduce the pedestrian traffic noise and also gives you a great view over the nearby wat (temple). The double rooms with bathroom are pretty good value, I looked at their non-bathroom rooms and found them a little small.

If you want a quieter room get 307 or 407 which faces the back side. No traffic or people noise there at all but also now view.

The staff are pretty friendly and the daily cleaning of the rooms is done well.

The restaurant downstairs has some pretty good food and the prices are very comparable to the nearby roadside places.

I have stayed at many places in this area over the past 15 years and the Bella Bella also seems to have one of the cheapest in-house wifi prices. If you don't have a laptop then you will need to use the computers provided with the coin-pay-to-use, which is not nearly as cheap.

Its also a great place to get local transport as the Bangkok transit buses run along the main street (only 1 block away) to the main train station and other useful destinations. Plus the water taxi station is also a 5 min walk away.

The only negative I can think of is some of the rooms mattress' are a little "lumpy" so check it before taking a certain room.

There are certainly many guest houses along this area behind the temple (and I have tried them all over the years) but I keep returning to the Bella Bella for the friendly staff and great room views from the top floors.

Room Tip: room with a view = 306/406 really quiet rooms = 307/407

In a street full of cheap hostels with almost identical prices this is a nice friendly place. Rooms are good value and all the restaurants and nightlife of Khao San Road is right on the doorstep.
They have left-luggage facility and wifi (pay extra for it). Staff generally very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Always ask to see the room first(common practice in Thailand). Generally more choice if you get there earlier in the day. By later the rooms with private bathrooms/views will have gone.
