“Great for your first few nights in Bangkok”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

Clean, comfortable, lovely staff who speak good English, and generous breakfast buffet, Sabai-Sabai was a welcome break after our long flight. The room was big, with a safe, TV, fridge (containing free water), comfortable bed, A/C and free Wi-Fi. The lady who runs it is really nice, when we first arrived at about midnight she used her mobile phone to call the airport to ask about our lost luggage, and the staff also let us print out our boarding passes for our next flight, which was really kind of them. The only downside is the location, although they do offer free shuttle to the nearest BTS, but the traffic in Bangkok can get so congested that it takes ages to get there. overall though it's a safe and nice place to stay.

The six of us stayed in this hotel from the 3rd Aug to 7th Aug,its a wonderful experience as the lady boss and her staffs were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The rooms deco and cleanliness is extremely nice,I am really impress with the different design both rooms we had stay.

Breakfast was really nice, apart from some bread, sausage and eggs we tasted some home cooked meals which really love it.Street food is available at the main road of Sukhumvit 71 with fair price and tasty.

The only minus point is the location is a bit out off town but they made up with a schedule shuttle bus to the nearest BTS every hour from 830am to 430am,but booking is required.

Overall we love this place and would recommend to those who like the homely feel and friendly hotel.

We recently stayed in this hotel for a week while on a pleasure trip to thailand.Though the hotel is not in a centrally located place, it is near to sky train and ideal for budget traveller. The staff were nice and extremely courteous. The breakfast is complementary and is quite nice. One gets homely feeling.

Stayed here for four nights in total. Was a great experience - staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant was excellent.
The hotel is out of the main centre of Bangkok so is nice and peaceful.
They also run a free shuttle service to the nearest skytrain station so getting into Bangkok city centre is easy.
Overall I loved my stay here and would definitely stay here again!

We were in Bangkok for one night before flying home after travelling around Asia for a month. Deciding to treat ourselves a bit, we chose to stay at Sabai-Sabai because of all the great reviews here and the promise of a bathtub or spa in our room. Getting to the hotel in the first place is a bit annoying, you have to take the SkyTrain almost to the last stop on the Bearing line, which takes at least 10 minutes, and from there it's still a good half hour walk. We didn't realize how far away it really was, and after walking a while with our heavy bags we ended up paying a taxi to take us.

We arrived at the hotel and were excited to finally have a nice room! The staff offered us a double room for $40. The room was very beautifully decorated, nice contemporary paintings and fun colors, and the bathroom was very clean. We were very disappointed that we didn't have a bathtub though, and the staff assured us we could use the jacuzzi in the spa downstairs. Also, the water constantly fluctuated between being boiling hot and uncomfortably cold, so we didn't even enjoy showering.

We went downstairs for dinner, and ordered three dishes, all of which were very average. Nothing unique. After dinner and excited for a relaxing jacuzzi, we walked into the spa and were greeted with very confused looking staff who didn't seem to understand why we were there. We asked if we could look around and they pointed us to the front desk where we were told it was going to cost us each 500 baht to use the jacuzzi for half an hour. That's nearly $20 each! (The jacuzzi was also the cheapest thing available in the spa, things like massages were insanely expensive.) Incredibly disappointed, we went back to our room and watched a bit of tv before sleeping.

One plus was the breakfast in the morning was quite good! One egg, toast, ham, sausage, pork soup, coffee, and orange juice, which was a great value. The staff arranged a free shuttle to take us to the SkyTrain, which was also nice, and later on got us a taxi to the airport with plenty of time.

Overall thoughts about Sabai-Sabai: absolutely beautiful hotel, but it is a pain to get to, and definitely not worth paying $40 a night just for a pretty room. We were under the impression from reading reviews here that the spa was free for guests to use, but absolutely everything in this hotel costs extra. By all means stay here if you have the money to spend, but if you're not prepared to pay a lot, you could do much better somewhere else.

We stayed here our first four nights in Thailand before flying to the beach. The rooms were clean and pretty and the staff very nice. They have a free shuttle service to the BTS and on the last day the owner drove us to the center and told us many things about Thailand. The courtains were seethrough so we walked up soon. If you are on a budget this is a very good place in Bangkok.
