We went to Nahm Restaurant during our visit to Bangkok in july of 2016. We both had the tasting menu to make sure we got to taste a bit of everything this well renowned restaurant has to offer.

The experience was nice. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The food didn't quite live up to mye expectations tho. I really enjoy thai, but this was a bit different from what you're normally served when visiting the country. The mixture of different tastes just didn't hit the jackpot by my accounts.

Note that the food is quite spicey, and probably too spicey for most Scandinavians.

We arrived with 3 kids and 9 adults a little bit anxious for a fine dining experience with kids down to 8 years. The staff handled both the food, the kids and allergies with professionalism, smiles and good service.

Being so many we had a pre-selected set menu and all of the dishes (12 + extras) were wonderful. Adjusted to be milder for those of us who preferred less spicy food and showing off the wonderful and complex tastes the makes up the Thai kitchen.

The sommelier picked out a few nice wines to go with the food as well. Well thought out and matching through the huge variety of the dishes.

The communication in advance were friendly and good.

Strongly recommended for anyone who wants exceptional food and a nice Fine Dining experience in Bangkok.

I was worried about coming here after reading some of the negative reviews. However, people also complained about Gaggan being too spicy and we ate there the night before and it was great. I have been to several restaurants on the top 50 list and I honestly don't get how this place is on the list.

We did the tasting menu and specifically asked the waiter every time if each dish was spicy because we can't tolerate spicy food. He kept saying it wasn't and since Gaggan said that (and it wasn't), we believed them. Boy was that a mistake. We were both miserable for the dinner and when we asked if they had yogurt or something to cut into the spiciness (this tactic worked for me in India), they said no.

We each had to drink 2 bottles of water to tolerate the meal and the guy insisted we pay for the extra bottles, which we thought was a bit cheap on their part, since we had paid for 2 tasting menus (that we suffered through) and a bottle of wine.

Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful and the servers were constantly filling glasses and rice, but definitely had none of the wow factor of any of the other top 50 restaurants I have been to. Maybe if you love spicy food it will be okay for you, but we left feeling like we had wasted our money. I really wish I had cancelled our reservation after reading the reviews...

We've been there last week after trying lots of restaurants in Bangkok and I have to say that this is one of the best experiences of restaurants in the city. We go for the tasting menu at night and was really worth it. And the best beef red curry we ever tasted.
