We checked in at 11pm for a night cap to catch a flight the next morning. We had requested a room with twin beds but it was not available. But they did upgrade us to a one bedroom suite which was nice. The room were OK but not the same as other 5 star hotels in Bangkok. But the price was cheaper too. The problem started the next day when we were checking out had to call the bell desk 3 times for the luggage. My brother waited in the room for them to come and pickup the luggage, while I checked out. At checkout he had someone inspect the room and said everything is fine and we could leave. While waiting outside for the taxi for roughly 10 mins, one person comes and says the reception is calling you as you have to pay something. I go back inside and the lady at the front desk says sir you have taken a map from the minibar that you need to pay for. I told her we didn't take any map as we just came from the airport and were going back to the airport, and we didn't need any map. She said let me check, while I waited she tried to make several calls but didn't understand what was going on.
