i enjoy my stay here. i stayed 4 days in the female dorm. beds are clean, ac work perfect (there are scheduled time that the ac is turned off, but the room still comfortable). bathrooms are quite clean. free wifi, nice staffs. no free breakfast, but that's ok for me.
when i ordered tea for my breakfast, the lady in the cafetaria try to speak with me. her english wasn't good. but i enjoyed it. because i know she's trying, and she's really nice.
the place is near khaosan road, but not noisy. if you come from don muang airport, use the bus no 29, then stop at chatuchak, after that use the bus number 3. bus no 3 will stop in front of tani road. you just have to walk 2 minutes. =D

Room Tip: i think all rooms are good!

Everything about this place is great. The location and proximity to khao san, the room (female dorm) the facilities and the socialbilty of it.
Its very clean and tidy and the showers are amazing, powerful and hot or cold as you wish.

Having read some great reviews, I left an awesome hostel in Siam (Lub D) to come here for 2 nights so that I was closer to Khao San Road and the other attractions at this side of Bangkok.
In a place as grubby and seedy (yes, we love it, but who are you trying to kid?) as Khao San Road, NapPark is probably the best accommodation going. It's generally very clean, safe and is set back far enough from the road not to be a stressful environment.
However, here are the niggles I made a mental note of whilst staying there:
- upon arrival I was told to come back at 2 to check in. I could leave my bag. I'd expected this, so not a problem. However, I was still waiting for access to my dorm at 3.30. Not a huge issue, but they make a huge deal of checking out on time-- why don't they hold up their end of the bargain??
- it is IMPOSSIBLE to stay in the downstairs dorm during the day, and even at night it's a sweat-pit. The AC doesn't get turned on until 6pm, and even then it blows out warm air. The room was horribly warm the whole time.
- Hardest bed in the world, in a dark, dingy room.
- Night time (post midnight). I had expected it to be noisy-- it's near Khao San Road so tight I knew what I was letting myself in for. What I don't expect is for reception to suddenly be filled with lots of very noisy Thai people (not residents at the hostel) screaming to each other in the lobby whilst they eat dinner. Like actual caterwalling. Receptionist did nothing about this, and was kind of part of it himself. Zero consideration for the fact that anyone could have been trying to sleep or relax.
- don't expect to be able to pay by credit card.

Bottom line-totally not worth all the hype it gets. I won't be staying again. For a better option, see Lub D Siam Square.

Room Tip: Don't stay in the downstairs dorm. It may the best smallest (ie only 6 beds), but honestly-it mi...

This place was a haven! Clean, tidy & safe. Staff are helpful. Entrance may be hidden between shops. Have a lovely chilled seating area outside. Do food & drinks but didn't try it.
3 computers free to use. Fridge with drinks to buy from.
I booked 1 night i. Female only dorm on top floor. Bit of a trek with your backpack. Lovely lounge with decked area. Relaxing. Washing machines to use. 2 shower cubicles & toilets. Nice decor. Dorm was lovely. Really big lockers to put your backpack in. Beware....i forgot my shower gel, deoderant, face wash & another item in the shower. When i got back from my tour itd been stolen by someone. More likely another traveller

The staff where great, always really friendly & helpful ( especially Erm - sorry can't spell it). Felt like they had things under control at all times. The food i had there was also great, nice to start the day with a good breakfast and coffee. The location is great its a little walk to khoasan road and close to a lot of the temples. There was a really good social side to the hostel and you won't struggle to meet people if you hang out in the communal areas for a bit. I stay for 4 nights and had no trouble sleeping, the 20+ people dorms are done in a way that feels really private and the shower facilities are really good. My dorm was cleaned everyday and never felt like there was a small herd of smelly travelers in them. Just remember to take your shoes off before you go in. Great value for money but i wasn't on budget too much, either worth the extra money if you are.

Room Tip: Expect some bumps in the night as it is a hostel, but as far as hostels go this is the best one ive...

NapPark is 1 of 2 hostels in Bangkok that I have really enjoyed staying at.

At first, I was concerned when I read that the rooms were 22 bed dorms; however it turned out that I had nothing to be concerned about. The beds are partitioned so infact it feels like you are in a 4 bed dorm. Whilst I was there I had no problems with noise from other travellers.

The main pluses of this hostel are:

- Good location. Being in the Khao San area makes it easy to get to and from e.g. some tourist buses will stop in the Khao San area (note: the main bus stations are very far from the centre), there are also a number of agencies which do shuttle buses to the airports saving you the cost of a private taxi. It is also close to some of the attractions - including the nightlife of Khao San if that is your sort of thing.

- Good communal area. Large mattresses to chill out on, free internet terminals for those who do not have a WIFI device. Cafe just outside for breakfast and drinks.

- Friendly, helpful staff. During my visit the staff were great in making sure that I had a comfortable stay.

The only negatives I have about the hostel are:

- the rooms can get a little crowded with everyone's bags on the floor (there are however lockers for small bags and valuable)
- the hostel frequently gets booked up - so book way in advance!

As you can see, these are not major negatives! I would definitely consider going back to this hostel if I was in Bangkok again :)

Room Tip: Be careful if staying on one of the upper floors - one of the steps at the top of the landing leadin...
