The aroma of the place is very different its more of a elegant place than being a happening one. My stay was for 2 days and it was average .

Stayed November 7-16, 2011

Arrival/Check-in:
Upon arrival at Lebua, there were the doorman, many bellman and front desk staff to greet one on arrival. We were seated in the lobby and the staff offered us beverages while they checked us in (now is the best time to inquire about upgrades). We were promptly checked-in and escorted to our room on the Club Tower level (56th floor). Complimentary daily breakfast and afternoon/evening snacks and cocktails at the Club Tower Lounge, free in-room internet, two drink certificates at the Sky Bar were offered to us at check-in.

Room:
The view from the balcony was stunning of the Praya River, but the room itself was unimpressive. I had stayed at Lebua in 2009 in a regular non-Lebua Tower Club floor room and back then had a corner room that was absolutely stunning (though not on the river side). Also, there were no Bvlgari products in this room as mentioned by other reviewers. We were tired from our other travels within Thailand and just chilled in our room on the first evening, but I sent an email to Front Desk Manager, Ms. Geraldine Richard, before retiring for the evening about my displeasure with the room. The next morning, Ms. Richard, had replied to my email advising me that she would move us to another Tower Club Room similar to our previous stay and on the floor we were staying. She also offered to send a bellman to assist with our move. Ms. Richard also advised us as we were in Bangkok during the floods (which affected the outskirts of the city) that the floods had severely impacted their distribution channels and that they had to utilize the Lebua branded products instead of the normal Bvlgari branded products. (I was apologetic at this point as I was well aware of the issues concerning how the flooding was effecting supply distribution throughout the city and also we had to limit some of our travel planning outside the city). We packed our bags and went to have breakfast at Breeze restaurant. While having breakfast, Assistance Front Desk Manager, Mr. Patrapramot Chaemkoson, tracked us down and advised our bags had been moved to the new room and provided us with the new room keys. Mr. Chaemkoson, advised if there were any issues with the new room to contact him personally and gave us his business card, but assured us we would like the new room. After breakfast we went to our new room (5628), and were definitely impressed. In general not all Tower Club rooms are equal, so I would suggest to request a corner room as the standard middle rooms are all significantly smaller.

Room 5628, is a corner room which had a full kitchen, an 'extra room' with a pullout sofa sleeper, a separate bedroom, two full bathrooms, two balconies and floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and living room area along with a work station. This room was just stunning compared to the other Tower Club room.

Breakfast:
Daily breakfast (0600-1100) in the Tower Club Lounge on 52nd floor was a nice way to start the day. More limited than the breakfast offered at Mozu, but still filling and we can not say enough about the personal attention we received from the staff here! Fruits, breads, cereals, yogurt, sushi amongst the offerings were all good and presented well. Daily newspapers available here every day.

On the day of our check-out, we requested to have breakfast at the much bigger Mozu restaurant instead of the Tower Club Lounge and Mr. Chaemkoson made it happen. The breakfast offering in Mozu is very impressive. Made to order omelets, bread stations, carving meat station, sushi, fruits, Asian dishes, home-maid jellies/jams, meats, fresh juices and so so much more!

Afternoon/Evening Cocktails:
The Tower Club Lounge on 52nd floor offered daily from 1200-1500 finger foods, snacks, nuts, fruits, deserts and normally three or four hot dishes were served for a nice, filing meal and complimentary cocktails. From 1500-1800 the hot dishes are removed, but all the other items remain along with the complimentary cocktails. Once again, the entire Lounge staff really took care of us, knew our favorite drinks and always had a table ready for our visit. I wish to give a special compliment to Mr. Nattavut (Tong?) as he went over and above what was required to make sure we were well taken care of and was almost like our personal host as he seemed to anticipate everything we needed and he really knew how to take care of his customers. It was a pleasure to see him on each of our visits to the Lounge. So please send our regards to the F&B department, as Nattavut is a great employee.

Concierge:
The gentlemen working the concierge desk was truly a great help. We needed several suggestions for traveling outside the city (due to the restrictions caused by the flooding) and he was always full of information. Most importantly my partner was searching for a specific, small car part and the concierge not only spoke to us about locations in the city to find the part, he actually directed to the actual block and street where we actually found the item we were searching for. He gave attention to detail above and beyond our expectations (“if possible try to bring a sample item as a lot of car parts being sold are not original”). That was impressive! He was knowledgeable about everything we inquired about. He certainly deserved his 'keys'.

Fitness Center:
I worked out most days during my nine day stay at Lebua and the Fitness Center had all necessary equipment one would need. Lots of free weights, nautilus, bikes, treadmills. The center also had steam and sauna rooms, lockers, shower facilities and of course the nice, refreshing outdoor pool and sun loungers. One negative item I would have to say is there is a gentleman working at the Fitness Center desk did not seem too friendly as he spent a lot of time doing his nails in view of the public or in the back office doorway in front of the mirrored door. The other male and female working there were more friendly. Also, a couple of the shower dispensers needs to be more clearly relabeled as it is hard to read which is for shampoo or shower gel.

Sky Bar:
The only thing I can say about the Sky Bar is that it's the place to be on any night of the week. A stunning view of the skyline is something one must see whether staying at the hotel or not! It's definitely a place to see and be seen and the atmosphere and setting is known to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

Hangover II Suite:
One last comment is I inquired with Mr. Chaemkoson about seeing the 'Hangover II Suite' if it was not occupied as it was just about four doors down from my room. Within an hour of my request, a front desk associate was escorting us into the room to view the full suite as it was not occupied. Now that is service! We took pictures (actual pictures from the movie set are posted on the wall in the suite) and hung out on the balcony of the Hangover II Suite.

I appreciated all of the special attention from all the staff members listed above and the services offered by the hotel and other staff members. Lebua went over and above to assure us before our arrival that the hotel was fully operational (even with the flooding situation outside the business district) and they did everything to please us while we were guests at the hotel. For the reviewers that had issues or concerns with their stay at Lebua (most specifically during the flooding period , but at any point) and did not address these issues to management for them to attempt to correct, then I feel you did not give them a proper chance to fix the issue. A highly recommended luxury hotel!!

Room Tip: Request a corner suite at check-in.

i stayed in lebua for 3 nights as part of my honeymoon vacation at three different hotels in thailand. lebua really was the most luxurious one of them.it has the word luxury written allover the place.
our room was a cityview suite on the 58th floor, what a magnificient view of the city and partially of the river. the room was very spacious, very nett well organized furniture, very spacious bathroom. the minibar in the room is full of softdrinks and all complimentary, coffeemaker machine in the room, unlimited supply of bottled water.
we tried the breakfast at the 52nd floor, such a wide varity of american, continental, thai and japanease, even sushi and very good service. but the snacks at the tower lounge between 12:00 and 6:00 pm, was something else. it was much more than snacks, more like a lunch, soups, salads, crackers & cheese, canapes ,desserts and chochlates wooooow :)
the skybar on the 62nd floor, is mindblowing, the best way to see bangkok ever. they also gave us vouchers upon arrival of 2 drinks at the ocean bar at 52nd floor, really nice.
the hotel is 15 min walking to patpong night bazzar and close to the skytrain station.
lebua is worth the money, no doubt :)

We cancelled our reservation for the Lebua tower club room with river view, as we contacted them via email and advised we wished to extend our stay and asked if we could extend at the same price. Not only could they not offer the same price for an extra 3 nights, one of the nights they more than doubled the price of the room. Pure greed!! We have now cancelled our stay all together.

In an email back to reservations we expressed our disappointment at the hike in prices, all they could reply and say was thanks for your email we acknowledge your cancellation request.

You guys are way too big for your boots and I am more than happy to return to our favourite hotel in Bangkok who welcome us back with open arms. You do not deserve the patronage!

Room Tip: Give it a big curve ball...

The Lebua has been our favourite hotel in Bkk and have stayed many times at the Lebua at State Tower Hotel but this was our first time in the Club ....and our last!! Unlike other executive clubs the Lebua does not include complimentary laundry and has a strict dress code which includes jeans/long trousers and covered in shoes at all times for men, even breakfast . The executive club breakfast is ONLY continental with no hot food options. There is no information provided about the Club benefits mainly because there are none.!! The only difference between standard rooms and club rooms are the club rooms are situated from level 52 - 58 of the hotel.
The Club rooms are very expensive and not good value for money.
The Lebua is still a fine hotel but the Club experience is a real Claytons Club!!

Room Tip: Save your money and opt for the standard suite room as opposed to the overpriced Club rooms.

The Lebua offers some great deals. I've stayed in many 5 star hotels in Bangkok but this is my favourite. We were upgraded to the higher floors of the Tower Club without even asking. The view is phenomenal... you can walk straight out onto the balcony on the upper floors and have a breathtaking view of the city and river. Staff are ultra-attentive and kind. Breakfast is AMAZING! The hotel is very well located for the skytrain.

I stayed at 23 five star hotel on this trip to asia and this is not a five star hotel. I stayed on the club level ( not a club level by any means limited hours, no concierge for the lounge and it turns back into a restaurant at 6:00 pm). I went to the lounge at least 6 times during my stay and each time I was asked for my room number by the same women at the desk. All the club levels at the other 5 star hotels remember my name after the first visit. The food at the club was just ok and if you go after 4:00pm I hope you like bread because that all you get tea sandwiches and a basket of bread ( who made this menu). The room did not have Bvlgari toiletries and when I asked at the front desk they acted stupid and finally said the flood was the cause ( none of the 5 star hotels had a problem with the toiletries that I stayed in Bangkok only the Lebua). The elevator is always crowded with kids going to the sky bar all night ( you would think since you are paying more for the club level you wouldn't have to put up with a crowded elevator all night long). Overall if want a 5 star hotel stay some place else.
