“A beautiful hotel!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Wow what a hotel. We were given a free upgrade to a super deluxe room. What can I say..a massive bathroom with a window you can see straight through into the bedroom. Staff were super friendly and breakfast was vast with every option to suit your diet. We were only here for 2 nights on transit to australia. It is central to the city and two stops to centre by train. we would definitely come back again.

Nice hotel, kind & helpful staff (though lower-rank personnel could improve their English a bit...).

Executive Suite is a great pick to stay, whether you are a couple, or a small, one-child family. Just few stops by Sky Train (BTS) to the famous Nana district, shopping malls, etc.

Great breakfast buffet & I mean great! Lots of Asian, as well as European breakfast dishes should be more than enough to satisfy the taste of all travelers except the most demanding guests... which I certainly am not.

In the first, smaller room - the room that was booked, we have had some humidity intake (probably due to not_so_meticulous construction works). After a few days of rainfall, rug in the corner of the room was literally mopped wet.

Informed the front desk - just for their information... did not have any intention on complaining
or insisting upon the change of accommodation.

Boy we were surprised when we were given larger, above mentioned Executive Suite! Appreciate the gesture!

For the hotel guests, complementary services include small, but functional sauna room (boy that thing is hot - sweet!), gym, not too big swimming pool & not_so practical bubble bath / jacuzzi; late one being a part of the swimming pool & bit uncomfortable. But hey, that didn't stop me!

=)

I did not give a visit to the Spa section, so I cannot give any praise/critics; same case with the
hotel restaurant (what I did noticed that the hotel bar was a bit pricy). But with all that Bangkok street food and colorful restaurants, who on Earth would want to eat in a hotel?

Conclusion:

PROS:

*Nice hotel
*Nice personnel
*Good location

CONS:

*Upon arrival we were asked to leave a deposit... about 3000 baht if I recall correct. That came as a bit of surprise :( Of course it was refunded upon check - out,but still it did caught us bit unaware.

*If you ask for the hotel staff to call you a cab, always INSIST on taximeter to be on & running;
otherwise, simply tell the driver to stop and that you want to leave the vehicle! This counts especially for your check-out drive to the airport, when you will easily be charged triple value of the ride! ! ! (Normal price would be around 200 bahts, give or take)

*On the mezzanine floor; AC unit is set up to very, very, VERY low temperature. Talking
about 17-18 degrees Celsius; while the outside temperature is approximately 30 degrees +
That comes as a bit of a shock, after having breakfast, wearing your long sleeve shirt, and then going out to enjoy hot & moistly tropical climate... definitely not a thrill.

Room Tip: Upon arrival, be sure to inspect the room for possible defects.

It is smart, comfortable and the right price. We did not like being charged £80 on the credit card on arrival as a deposit against spending in the Hotel or the mini bar. Good breakfast in a nice layed out restaurant.
Pool area very boring and the pool bar didn't seem to be open. Free internet pc's is good.
There are two excellent restaurants a short walk away and a 7-11 nearby. Taxis are generally passing and inexpensive so don't bother with skytrain, jump in a cab. It's around 100b to go into town. Cheap. Avoid peak traffic times though.

This is a nice hotel in a good location, very near the restaurants hubs and a mere 5 min walk to the Skytrain, which is without doubt the best way to move about in this busy city. Buffet breakfast is sumptuous, there is so much and so many varieties that you are sure to gain a few pounds! Beware of the cheaters around the hotels though, there are some people posing as passerby who are actually enticing you to shop in particular places where they will rip you off!

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms have a nicer view on the city skyline

Stayed 3 nights here. Staff was friendly and good. The room service may seem steep in comparison with food places outside but their Thai cuisine is pretty decent. Good location as well since it's within the heart of town, right next to the highway, and thus easily accessible both by taxi and public transport - it is only 2 Skytrain stops away from Siam station where the major malls are. Rooms are pretty comfortable; the bathroom was notably spacious.
However, there could be room for improvement for their breakfast buffet - by the (admittedly) high standards set by other similarly-ranged Thai hotels I have been too, the spread is pretty limited and a tad disappointing. Overall, it is a pretty good and value-for-money hotel.

After arriving past midnight, we were welcomed by friendly and hospitable hotel staff members.
They have 24 hr room service with plenty of choices. We tried the delicious lobster bisque (looked like shrimp to me) and shrimp fried rice.
The hotel is a great value for the price. I would recommend it.

Stayed 2 nights at the Aetas on the 22nd floor with a great view. Chose this hotel since it's location, 7 minutes walk distance to the BTS stop Phloen Chit which is 2 stops to Siam Paragon shopping mall or 2 stops in the other direction to the newest mall Terminal 21. There is a 7-11 nearby which was great for buying water and soft drinks.

The room is nice with a contemporary style but it did smell a bit weird, not sure if it was the aircon or the smoking room next door to our non-smoking one.

I would rate this hotel a 4 star, a few little imperfections such as the shower flooding into the bathroom area, the artificial tasting juices and ordinary breakfast as well as the aircon dripping in the hallway preventing me from giving it a 5 star.

The room wifi was decent and easy to use.
