We have stayed in The Aetas with my bofriend for free nights. Hotel room was spacious, modern and clean. Lovely bathroom with amazing shower and window onto the room. Staff was friendly and breakfast had a great choice. Had a very small but nice gym, as well as the pool with the bar. However, the location wasn't great. It is 5 minut walk to the sky train but this one does not take you very close to main tourist attractions like Grand Palace etc. Getting back to hotel by either tuk tuk or taxi is also problematic as there is a lot of traffic around and if anyone will take you there you will need to pay. It is also quite far away in average traffic jam it would take 30-40 mins, Once when it was raining heavily hotel concierge was trying to catch us a taxi and it took him over 15 min, so it is not great. Sky train will take you to Sukhumvit area where there are many tailor shops, bars and restaurants as well as some luxurious shopping centres (which we were not interested in as they have UK prices) and National stadium. When we tried to go out one night around the hotel there was hardly any restaurants and bars. What I have to mention is that there are many well known hotels in the area (The Conrad, Marriott etc) and we haven't seen any big hotels near the town centre so maybe that is how Bangkok work. However, at the end of our trip we stayed in Lebua State Tower hotel and although it was a bit more expensive it was absolutely amazing! Starting from enormous room with 2 tv (ok, they weren't flat screen v but had 32 channels and work perfectly fine), amazing views of riverside and Bangkok, delicious breakfast, huge local (very cheap!!) market nearby, finishing with breathtaking views from Sirroco restaurant and Sky Bar on 65th and 64th floor (which came at the price but were so worth it!). So having been in two different areas of Bangkok, I can say that it is not hotel that matters because they are all high standard, it is their location and what is around them that you should take into consideration.

Room Tip: The higher you are the better the views.

The standard of the hotel is in-line with what we have experienced in other parts of Thailand- clean, cozy and friendly.

It is a 10-min walk from Phloen Chit BTS station- not too far but it could be a hassle for some people to walk under the burning sun. The free tuk-tuk service offered by the hotel saves guests a lot of energy, although it's one-way only. (hotel to BTS). It would be better if they offer a regular return service.

The room is spacious as we asked for a free upgrade. View from the room is quite open, considering how densely developed Bangkok is.

Breakfast was OK, with an adequate choice of hot meals, cornflakes, salad, fruits and bread. There's also an egg station.

All in all, no complaints about this hotel. I would give it a 4 star.

Good location, with free shuttle to the skytrain. Multiple good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was reasonably priced with very good food. We had the breakfast included with our room rate, and they had great selection including many fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs cooked to order, freshly baked breads and pastries.

A very reasonable price for such a nice room like that, right in the heart of BKK, Sukhumvit Area and Nana dining area is just 1 MRT station away. Very good breakfast included and friendly staffs. The pool is not very big but it's okay.

I stayed at the Aetas for 10 days in July. This was not out of choice but because of corporate requirements.
On first impression, the entrance and general feel of the hotel was very modern, clinical and sparse. There is a small coffee area adjacent to reception but the music they play is extremely loud and doesn’t make you want to spend too much time there.
The staff are extremely helpful and nothing appears too much trouble. The hotel also has a private TukTuk (three-wheeler covered trike useful for short rides to restaurants and the Skytrain).
The rooms are standard (nothing to write home about) and although it is relatively new, they still feel like they have been lived in. I noticed that whilst the room was cleaned every day, it appeared to be somewhat selective and as such you would notice that bits of paper that may have been there the night before were there the following day. Air con however was brilliant and there was a large shower in the bathroom.
I had the chance to move to a superior room during my stay which was a corner room. This offered a lounge area separate from the bedroom (with sliding doors, two TV’s and en suite bathroom and additional separate loo). Much nicer and more spacious and was more comfortable when ordering room service.
Hotel menu is limited and food is well cooked but I chose to eat out a lot as there are so many restaurants, I guess most people do that. Breakfast was extremely good buffet with nice choices of fruits, cereals and egg counter.
Generally I would recommend this as a business hotel with easy access to Skytrain and taxis.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are always larger, tend to have seperate sitting room. Always ask for upgrades, eve...
