“Good Staff & Comfortable Rooms”
Reviewed May 25, 2011

New hotel with comfortable room & modern toliet, polite and helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast with varities food. Free of charge Tuk Tuk to BTS for every half hour (if possible, we suggest to add service upon request "Tuk Tuk from BTS to hotel" as we can save to walk around 10 mins between them). Overall comments are good for both of us.

Finding the hotel was difficult as tuk tuk and taxi drivers didnt seem to know where it was, until a policeman helped out!
The hotel itself is within walking distance to Phloeng Chit station and is a quick ride to the main shopping areas.
Staff were very pleasant but we were a bit surprised that their grasp of English wasn't very good (being a largish internat hotel)
Room was reasonably sized with twin beds, a desk, tea and coffee facilities, safe and TV with good range of channels. Beds were very comfortable.
Great view from our window over parts of Bangkok.
Bathroom was quite large, with separate bath and shower. Toiletries provided were rather skimpy..only one piece of soap each day, and the shampoo wasnt replenished.
We had trouble finding the air con controls and finally located them next to the bed in the clock radio!
Tried the buffet breakfast which was enjoyable with many choices and fairly good value for a hotel.
Free use of 2 computers in a small area off the main lobby was appreciated.

I stayed here for 3 nights. Staffs are friendly and helpful. They will call a taxi for me everytimei need to go out as thai driver doesnt understand english well. The room is big enough and very modern. Spa was ok only, priced at the high side. The only problem with the hotel is that it is not located in the central but if you prefer a quiet stay after a long day, this is the place for you. The hotel provided tuk tuk to BTS but not shuttle from/to airport. It will be better if they provide this in the future. Swimming pool was under maitenance so i have no chance to have a swim there. :(

Product: It is a hotel that opened a year ago, relatively new. Rooms are not big, but still comfortable with contemporary designs. A big glass to separate bathroom & the room made the room looks bigger. Has significant varieties of TV channels. One negative point is that the water from shower room always floods out no matter which room you have, due to the shower room design.

Place: The hotel is situated at the business area. If your office is nearby, then it is good. If you are leisure traveller wanting to go to shopping centers, you need to take a taxi or Skytrain which takes about 10mins.

Price: Rather inexpensive.

Staff: Actually, the hotel hardware is not bad considering the price offered. The most negative point is the staffs. I had been stay at this hotel a few times from January 2011 due to biz trip. The hotel staffs had been there long time already, as I can recognise them. However, every time I deal with them, they looked like just started work for in this hotel. Sorry, but have to say that they are unprofessional compare to other similar hotels, even-though they had been worked there long enough... Check-in & Check-out are basic of the basic, but they still take rather long time to do so... A bit disappointed.

I prefer to stay at unique, boutique-style hotels and the Aetas is exactly that! I love the decor in the lobby and my room was nice too. My room was quite spacious and the bathroom even had a tub which is not the usual for Bangkok. Internet in my room worked fine, nice rain shower, and breakfast buffet was extensive.

The hotel is a ten minute walk to the main road and the BTS stop.

My toilet backed up which was not pleasant but the staff fixed it right away.

My only complaint about this hotel is that they take in big tour groups so it gets quite noisy. Maybe this is why the rate I got for my room was so low.

Booked this hotel becasue of VIV Asia and it is designated as an official hotel. I rated this hotel 4 becasuse it fills most of the criteria for a good hotel. The location is great. It is near Ploenchit station so going around the CBD in Bangkok is quite a breeze, except for going to the Grand Palace. The rooms are fantastic and the value is good. I rented a limousine with a driver in the hotel. Ask for Thien when you want to rent a limousine with the hotel.

My only real complain is that despite being a VIV designated hotel, the hotel doesnt provide the shuttle it is supposed to. I was pretty dissapointed about it and I hope they do something about it before being an offical hotel in another event. I would have rated 3 if its not because of the criteria above.
