Perfect place on a perfect location

Review of Bless Residence
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 11, 2011
A very beautifull service appartement on a perfect location in the heart of Bangkok.
only a short walk to the BTS station and the nightlife.
The appartement itself is very clean and relaxing. The swimmingpool on the roof is very fine after a day of shopping or a great night of partying.
The room is very clean and is beautifull. The service is great.

Only stayed 1 night here but wish I had never bothered staying any other place.
I always use the Cefle massage shop in this Soi (Its one of proper massage shops) And decided to give this place a try as we normaly stay up this end of town.
Now its set back from the main Soi so it is very quiet especialy as this Soi is very lively.
As this place is very new we were expecting good things and we were not dissapointed.
Huge rooms the bedrrom was about twice the size of any hotel room plus it has a large funky bathroom and seperate shower with rain forest attachment and a bath tub. With a very nice supply of freebies.
The living area is seperated by large glass sliding doors which would have been nice to have curtains so that you can have a dark bedroom.
Their is also a nice little kitchen area with large fridge and freezer.
For the money you would be hard pressed to find better in Bangkok.

Stayed 6 nights in Dec 2010, first time and it is as the photos show.
Huge spacious rooms, more like an apartment than hotel.
Great location close to ATMs, Seven11, Minimart, Laundramat and during the day plenty of street food available.
Staff are friendly however, seem very casual at times and not professional looking.
Room does not have iron or iron board, hair dryer and had to request for utensils to cook and use the kitchenette.
Hotel does not have in house laundramat too.
Free wifi provided which had average speeds.
The Soi (street) is shared with two clubs and another korean hotel also massage parlour, at night you can hear the music beating but does cease after 1am.

Hotel close to BTS (nana) or you can walk 10-15 mins to Asoke (BTS) .

We stayed for a month. It's like a serviced apartment (without a washing machine, restaurant, or room service) more than a hotel. For short stays, it makes more sense to be in a hotel. For long stays, the large room size works in its favor.
Its new. Its well executed and the rooms are large and comfortable. Its also situated in the middle of a bunch of bars, pubs, massage parlours, and restaurants, but its slightly far from the tourist areas. Its more an upmarket Thai and expat area (the Thai prime minster lives down the road). It's 5 minutes walk from the skytrain and across from the Emporium shopping mall.
Its a friendly place - the staff and the owners will all get to know you - and it feels like home, but then don't expect 5 star service.

WOW, where do I start? The hotel was better than described and the staff could not have been better, The special rate was a bargain (although the 3% credit card charge is a bit steep) and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The street food was great and did not miss having a hotel restaurant, for those who want western food there are great eateries within 100 metres. If you stay here dont ever miss the pool deck on level 8, Stunning BKK views at night and a cool retreat by day. Do yourself a favour and stay there (but dont spread the word or the prices will invariably go up) Handy to Skytrain and cabs are cheap as chips (give the tuk tuk s a wide berth)....Bon Voyage

I just submitted a very positive review about The Legacy and now I need to write a less positive one about Bless Residence on Sukhumvit 33 which I tried out a week earlier. As only one review is available this might help you to make decision.

After seeing the web site, pictures and pricing it seemed very good it was not good enough.

Good; The staff was very nice and kind. The location is great as its very close the sky train, many very nice restaurants and shopping. The bed was fine. The internet worked well. (Bless is located in an “upscale” pick up - girlie bar street - but those activities are kept at a fairly low profile in comparison with other main drags in BKK; so I think this not so much of a problem if you are not in to this and/or traveling with a family.)

Not so great; A sparsely and cheaply furnitured room which was large but not very functional. The hot water was not working well and provided by a small electric heater unit resulting in irregular temperatures. Worse, it was not clean and I found hairs in the bath tub, and the bath math was really NOT clean. Then, when paying you need to pay the vendors card fees of 3% when paying with Visa or MC and 5% with AMEX. This is not acceptable even if its displayed clearly at the reception. I prepaid a reservation so did not know this beforehand. All in all it looks much better then it really is; it never lives up to what’s promised on the web site which is good 4* accommodation; its really only 3*. The location very close to the Emporium is great, but for the same price or less you get a much better deal elsewhere.
