The place is convenient to grand palace, wat poh, Rattanakosin old town. Easy to get food, mart and shopping at Khao sarn road. Safe to sleep. Staff is very nice and friendly.
You can go to JJ market by bus in front of the guesthouse. No parking area.

The rooms look like they do in the pictures which is a nice surprise. They are clean and spacious,. You could have a party in they they have so much room. My bedroom also had a balcony. With fridges, cable tv, excellent wifi and clean comfy beds, I would defiantly stay again book in advance as they are always full.

This small hotel is along a main road but a bit far from the Khao San Road mayhem.

The have a couple of coin-operated washing machines and water dispenser at the ground floor. There's no internet access in the rooms but you can go to the reception to use the lone computer with internet.

There's no in-house restaurant but there's a plethora of small restaurants and food stalls nearby. The street side walk noodle stall should not be missed. It very cheap and very delicious. There's also Veggie Veggie by Namo Nammon Farm which serves salads and fruit drinks and shakes. Continue walking and you'll reach KC Food and Drinks.

The staff can help book you a taxi. You can also rent a room for long-term stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a high-floor room to lessen the noise. The ground level is a parking lot.

The reason for the above is building B is right next to a Mosque and at 5 a.m. every morning you will be awakened by the Al-Iman with his loud speaker turned up to maximum - You Have been Warned.
However, Bldg A is very nice. Bldg B blocks the loudspeaker. The rooms are very spacious and light each with it's own balcony. They are also very well appointed with large bathrooms. The hotel is on the outskirts of the tourist area so it is also peaceful and quiet. I would give this hotel (Bldg A) another star but they do not take credit cards.

Room Tip: Rooms in bldg A are much quieter than bldg B

The rooms are more or less clean and pretty large but also pretty free of any cosy and comfortable atmosphere. This would be acceptable but what is definitively not acceptable is, that the receptionists in the lobby are completely free of any service attitude. Any request that requires some effort more than just saying "yes" and "no" is not served. Unfortunately also here, a general trend in the "land of smile" takes place, where service providers as hotel receptionists, waiters, taxi and tuktuk drivers and others believe that getting the money from tourists does not require a minimum amount of friendlyness, effort and decency.
So I do not recommend this hotel if you want to be treated friendly (beeing friendly yourself), but I would advise to try other guesthouses and hotels like the Siam II that know what the meaning of the word "guest" is (this was true last year e.g. at the Siam II) .

When you've not pre-booked a place to stay and are tired of trudging around looking for somewhere you tend to be more relieved just to get a roof over your head so if I'd had more time, I'd have gone for somewhere else.

There was one male member of staff who was friendly and helpful; the rest were disinterested and the place is merely out to make money out of your most simple request. Customer service is poor because they probably think that people won't be returning anyway so while you're there, they try to squeeze as much from you as they can.

The room was soul-less although it did have a balcony but nothing to dry clothes on. Furniture in the room was old and not what you'd want to actually make use of. The toilet actually required you to place your hand in the cistern to make it flush and the power sockets were hanging off the wall, exposing the wiring.

In all, if there's two of you to share and you're going to be out most of the time, this place is adequate enough if you can live with its issues. If not, find somewhere else, as there's plenty of other options in the neighborhood.

Room Tip: Don't turn up late and be given the dregs of what they have left.

We stayed in the Banglumpoo Place Guest House as the area was recommended as close to Khao San, but in a quiet area. This is true as I have rarely stayed somewhere that is so quiet (especially with a loud party area nearby).

The room we had was basic, clean but a bit soulless. There was no hot water and the bed was about as hard as a park bench to sleep on. The furnishings were worn and reminded me of 1st year halls of residence at university in the 70s. If you can take the aches and pains caused by the bed, then this place is convenient and cheap.
