What can I say that others haven't already. It is located right next to the Paragon which is then interconnected to the entire central shopping district of Bangkok. If you want to shop and eat and head back to relax, then this is the place. We've stayed at the Interncontinental and Sukhothai. Service, it is on par but neither of these can beat its proximity and location to shopping and food. If you are coming to Bangkok for these 2 things, then you'd want to stay here.

Otherwise, the decor is contemporary, rooms are large and with all the modern facilities including in room espresso machines, plug-ins for all your gadgets and free wifi in rooms and throughout the hotel.

The hotel is located right at the heart of Bangkok, just 1-minute walk from Siam Paragon, an amazing shopping mall where you can spend a whole day, or even more.
The hotel can arrange a ride to other nearby locations, e.g. CentralWorld or Siam BTS station. Very convenient and attentive.

The overall ambience is luxurious. Rooms are clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Free minibar and free high-speed wifi access.

Buffet breakfast - wide range of food choices, hot and cold, plenty of supply. We eat outside near the pool, a perfect start for a day.

Afternoon tea at the T Lounge is superb.

Hotel staff are polite, friendly and hospitable.

Stayed for the first time at the Siam Kempinski Hotel. Enjoyed a fab stay besides the fact that the city is empty due to the flooding. However the center is not affected. Restaurants are also quite empty. However the quality of food or service did not get reduced. I had a fantastic room facing the garden. Absolutely quiet... The only disadvantage I experienced is that the drive in at night is guarded through securities from a nearby Royal Palace and it makes it difficult sometimes for taxi drivers besides the fact they hardly know where to go to.

Located right next to the grand mall Siam Paragon where u can find excellent food and shops. Perfect for those who love shopping.

Room was in simple modern thai style, though the size was not very big but the bed was so comfy, bet they use high quality mattress.

Breakfast buffet is one thing u can't be missed. They served high quality food like La Fermiere yogurt, fresh honey from honeycomb, Ronnefeldt tea... Egg, bacon & sausage can be ordered by menu, hot food is served guaranteed.

Only okay. Expected more due to all the press. Relied on the Tripadvisor reviews but in retrospect most of the positive reviews were off the mark (other than location). I also felt ripped off as I paid US$150++ but I spoke to 2 different couples who paid only US$100 as the hotel is desperate to fill rooms at any cost due to increased competition in the city and the decline in tourist / business visits. I also overheard another group asking/getting a heavy room discount as they negotiated at the front desk while other guests waited in a growing queue. Not the smartest people working at this hotel was my initial thought as everyone could hear their negotiations.
US$100 per night was appropriate for this level of hotel. The service was not great especially using Bangkok hotel standards but the room was nice and new. I tried to call the front desk and concierge a few times each night to help with restaurant reservations and other questions but I could never get through (different times of the day too). This happened my entire 5 days at the hotel. Also what's with all the working women in the bar?? Do not have a business meeting/drink at night at the bar with just men or you are going to get approached (even though the live music was great).
Summary: stay elsewhere until things improve at the Kempinski. There is a reason that the Kempinski name is not synonymous with luxury and quality in Asia… it just cannot compete.

I have traveled the world and stayed in some of the finest hotels and I can easily say, this is not a 5 star hotel. You won't get your money's worth.

The good:
- New hotel
- Pleasant and polite staff (common in Thailand)

The bad:
- We switched between two rooms and both had terrible mold smell (almost unbearable)
- Service consistency is poor (the small things; i.e. shower accessories)
- Their idea of complimentary fruits is 2 apples in a bowl you would not dare touch with your bare hands
- The hotel has only one restaurant (serving a fixed menu) and a cafeteria styled restaurant
- Front desk folks, although polite, are very inadequate and customer service is poor.

It is unfortunate for this new hotel in Bangkok to tarnish the Kempinski brand. Sad.

Well, you can tell if I am not happy with Kempinski, I won't keep coming back.
This hotel has many reviews and I don't want to repeat.
One thing is not mentioned by any reviewer is the hotel has a luggage room for guests to organize their belongings, especially for those who have done their last minute shopping, coming back to hotel with a few shopping bags before they head to the airport. The room is nicely decorated, separated from the hotel lobby and you won't be embarrassed to open your luggage in front of other people. I think this is a plus to this 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Don't forget to make request if you need twin bed room. There are not many this type of room in...
