5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2011

Stayed here for 2 nights in March. Very impressive from the moment we stepped into the lobby, very grand. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The room very modern and comfortable. Was particularly impressed with their attention to details. Very convenienly located, with Siam Paragon just across the street. However, the driver seemed to be unfamiliar with its whereabout when we took a cab from the airport. The buffet breakfast was another plus, with your choice of eggs made to order. Would definitely love to return for my next visit.

Stayed at Siam Kempinski for 3 nights.

The service was impeccable from the moment we got off the cab. The hotel is new. The room was large. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room and bathroom were well equipped. The location of the hotel is great, just behind Siam Paragon.

It rained one of the evenings, but the security at the side entrance facing Siam Paragon sheltered us back to the hotel across the very short road crossing.

There was a room for us to pack our last minute shopping into our luggage before heading to the hotel, which is quite different from the other hotels whereby we had to pack in the lobby.

Will certainly return to stay at this hotel the next time we visit Bangkok.

Bangkok is my all time favourite and I had been staying in many hotels in Bangkok before. Siam Kempinski was no doubt very good in location which is close to everywhere you want to go. Room size is smaller than Grand Hyatt, Pensinsula or even Holiday Inn at Chitlom station. The design of room was modern yet not user friendly. some will easy to hit on the glass panel when you want to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. I was being assigned a room on 12/fl. Corridor was narrow and they put console table roundthe corner which make the corridor more congested. What a design it was especially for one who are taking heavy luggages with you. The lighting switches was not easy to operate, you dont know what to press or unpress. The light on the ceiling was unable to turn off, i had to suffer for two nights to sleep with a ceiling of lights.
Breakfast is fair with everything you need for breakfast, the juice of the day is a good idea. Staff need more training as you have to call a few staff in order to have you desire full filled.
Sra Bua By Kiin Kiin is a joke to me. i must say this is the worst Thai Cuisine i had ever experienced. They only served set menu which is either 1800 Baht or 2400 Baht. Food served was totally disappointed with such a high price charged. The menu is definitely not for Hong Kong people or Asian who we know Thai cuisine so much. Can you imagine they serve four desserts in the set menu. The bill ended up is US$100 per person.
Crazy.
i will never recommend anyone to this Sra Bua.

This really is a lovely hotel, opulent and luxurious, yet friendly and inviting. An oasis in the heart of Bangkok! We very much enjoyed our Cabana room - being able to step off the room terrace straight into what felt like one’s own private pool was novel for a city centre hotel. The room itself was well designed and user friendly with a most comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom. Services throughout the hotel were efficient and friendly. The executive lounge provided a very extensive breakfast buffet together with table service, a delightful afternoon tea, and refined drinks and canapés in the evening from 5-7.
For those wishing to shop, the up-market Siam Paragon complex is adjacent
and Jim Thompson’s house (worth a visit) an easy walk away.
Restaurant Sra Bua offers sophisticated modern Thai cuisine in degustation style and in beautiful lofty surroundings – think teak and paddy fields! Attentive service under the direction of the charming young Frenchman Hugo.
The current 3rd night free offer makes staying here very good value. Of course there are many great hotels in Bangkok, but I have to say the Siam Kempinski certainly impressed and I would happily return tomorrow!

Room Tip: Cabana rooms have direct access to the pool.

Although we didn't spend the night we had a room for the day and made use of the executive lounge and restaurant.

The executive lounge on the 17th floor is very plush yet modern. During the cocktail hours they even have a fireplace of sort and along with the ultra cool A/C it made a nice change for the heat of Bangkok.

Snacks, food, drinks, amenities and service at the lounge were all excellent! Highly recommend spending a bit more for the club benefits.

We have just returned form a 3 night stay whilst on our way back form Koh Samui. We have stayed in Bangkok before at the Marriott on the water but thought it was a little too far out for us.

I chose this hotel for its location right next to Siam Paragon and the MTR and the the fact it has a children's club.

The hotel is great. We booked connecting rooms because our children are only 6 and 4, the hotel is very new and the rooms are very good with every amenity. The pool area is fabulous, we enjoyed swimming every afternoon. The children's club and staff were amazing and the facilities catered for a variety of ages. Our children never wanted to leave, a special thank you to Amy and Onn who were superb!

Check in was quick and again the staff were helpful and efficient.

I would highly recommend tis hotel especially if you have young children who do not want to be dragged around Bangkok all day.

Siam Kempinski has the best location in town, and yet because its a low building and all hotel rooms face the pool, it feels quite self contained, sprawling, yet elegant all the same. I booked a rerasonable package and was welcomed heartily despite a very early check in. The lobby is immense and grand and the ladies in red are smart, warm and welcoming.

My room had a grat balcony despite the fact that it was in the far end of the hotel. The room is sumptuous and new, the bathroom is equipped with very possible fancy, wifi worked although you had to relog in every day, and breakfast, while a tad crazy busy, was delicious, filling and varied.

I have to rave about the pool if only because it was huge and had wondeerful little nooks and crannies wheere you could feel alone yet not lonely. Ive been to many hotels in BKK and mostof the pools are a bit of a letdown...this one is not. Attentive pool boys, great sun, quiet corneers with kiddie sectins too.

Of course, being right behind the Siam Paragon yet not necessaary feeling its oresence, was a great bonus. Restaurants and shopping galore, and all of the worlds best too. I did try the room seevice and the clubhouse sandwich was first rate and came promptly. Oh, free mini bar of softdrinks and beer, too!
All inall, it was a grat stay and I think I will be back.
