The room was clean, as was the ensuite bathroom. They had a sort of cafe downstairs but as we only came in and out of the hostel very early or fairly late, we never saw it open. The internet was ridiculously slow so after one attempt at using it we stuck to internet cafes. There is a comfortable communal tv room with a large screen. We booked a tour from the hostel which we managed to do pretty late at night for an early morning start the next day. Staff are friendly enough but nothing to shout about. The immediate area the hostel was in didn't seem to have a lot going on there, but it is right across the street from Hua Lamphong train station which was really handy as we needed to get the 6am train to Cambodia.

We stayed 4 nights in august in this hotel. Every thing is perfect, price, very clean, staff very pleasant , wifi free and last shower after checkout free, just close the central railway station in bangkok and very close chinatown.
Metro is just 100 m from the hotel.

This is an excellent little hotel for anyone wanting to do an early morning train trip departing from Hua Lamphong station. Everything in the hotel is in very good condition. Rooms have air-conditioning. And it's not noisy there. The only problem was that the Wi-Fi did not seem to reach our room.

It takes just a few minutes to walk to the train station - go through the underground station (MRT) directly to the Hua Lamphong railway station. Easy as that.

Like most hotels I have been to in Thailand, the beds are hard.

Room tip: No lift, so choose a room on a lower floor.

I had such a wonderful stay at Hua Lamphong Hostel for 3 nights. Mainly it was because the great location. The MRT station was right outside the hostel door. Very convinient to go anywhere in Bangkok by MRT. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. The room was big and spacious. There were big lockers for each person with keys. And the ensuite separated shower, toilet and wash basih were perfect. I wasn't too keen to stay in Khao San Road, so that I find this hostel like a hidden gem. Totally sufficient for a flashpacker like me.
