Description: The Rain Tree Café has been reconceived in a modern interpretation of Thai neo-colonial interior décor + style. Three separate but complementary spaces evidencing extreme elegance and making excellent use of natural light are interwoven with threads of touching homeliness. These three unique areas are cleverly interwoven and are aptly named: The Bronze Kitchen upgraded with interactive live cooking stations, The Valaya Room with its formal library-style "VIP" space and The Secret Garden for more private affairs. Enjoy an inspiring voyage of discovery on our stunning international buffet that also features five specialty dishes of the day from our specialist head chefs. Service for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Brunch and Dessert Buffet.

“Rain Tree is fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2010

The Rain Tree Cafe is fantastic, the buffet is great. A great value for the money. The seafood was so fresh. A group of us went there for dinner buffet, the Exec Chef Martin was there to great us all, and point out what was available. We should have started on the desserts, but oh well. So much crab and lobster, did not know where to start. Everything was great, we will be back again, we go often. It was raining that night, but the doorman arranged a taxi.

“Breakfast at the Rain Tree”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2010

I have stayed many times at the Plaza Athenee and have had breakfast everyday their. The food is excellent especially the Raman in the morning. It is very healthy and absolutely tastes great. There is also an numerous variety of various food from japanese, Thai, Chinese, and American. Along with the food the staff are the most friendliest around. Breakfast is included with the stay.

“Best Sunday Brunch in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2010

Most of the hotels in Bangkok nowadays offer Sunday Brunch as a big trend. Rain Tree Cafe tops them all. Great selections of food, the best in town for me. I and my girlfriend love how they serve oysters here with a staff cracking each oyster freshly for you, I believe they offer at least 4 different kinds. So yummy. The best has to be "Grilled Lobsters", so moists and tasty. We cannot stop eating these delicious lobsters. Can't wait to go back again very soon.
