“Excellence on every note”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

We stayed at the Plaza Athene and of course we tried The Reflexions restaurant which is outstanding. The piano accompanying the cello makes you feel like you’re in a movie scene, and the images projected on the wall are fantastic. Refined dishes, hot bread of various kinds, attentive service, creative menu, with a delicious desert to end. We also were impressed by the sorbet and by the chocolate cake with ice cream. This is more than a restaurant, it’s a sensation.

“Surprising Food Art with Unique Flavor”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

If you are looking for a unique culinary experience with live harp music and a modern yet relaxed atmosphere, Reflexions is the place to be. Most stunning of all are German Chef Daniel Bucher's creative dishes. Food is presented as art. The dishes don't only look beautiful, they are also finely tuned in their combination of ingredients, flavor and color. Cooking is clearly his passion.

The menu's focus is structured by color theme or taste. There's a surprising offer of dishes which have not been ordered but brought for you to try, to enhance the dining experience. Daniel's creations are all very imaginative, while he can fulfill any kind of extra wish not listed on the menu. Recently I asked him to create a nice appetizer for me containing artichokes. I received artichoke hearts, coupled with caviar and langoustines in a magnificent sauce. Worth trying are also the Wagyu beef, snowfish, lamb and foie gras dishes. Even though Chef Daniel is very busy in the kitchen, he will always spend some time go greet each guest and to see that all individual wishes are met with his friendly personality.

The service of the entire crew is warm and welcoming, while the Restaurant Manager Khun Summit does a great job of pampering all guests and making them feel special. He is very service minded and makes sure that everyone is happy. Reflexions is a place where you always would like to return to and be surprised each time you visit.

“Really really good”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

This is our 2nd time at Reflexions, and the 1st time with the current head chef - Chef Daniel.

The amouse bouche, hot stone grilled tuna, was a show stopper that also tasted really great, especially when eating together with vegetable side dishes.

Then we had scallops in minestrone and frog leg with organic egg for appetizers. The scallops dish was good, while frog legs had funny smell and tasted average.

We had snowfish and lamb chob for the main course. The fish was superb and the flavor was enhanced with salty bacon. The lamb was just ok. It came with vegetable tempura and risotto.

For desserts we had a platter of small pieces of chocolate fondant, vanilla ice cream, berry tart topped with berry sorbet, pistachio cake and roasted pineapple. It was ok.

The service was very impressive.
