“Exceeded all expectations!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

Loved everything about the restaurant!
The decor, the beautiful harpist Chiara who happened to play some of my favourite melodies from Nino Rota and of course the menu with its various options we could select from.
We chose quite a few dishes which were immaculately presented, had the perfect size and the perfect combination of different textures with flavours to die for!!! It was so good, that food became the focus of our conversation throughout the night. I must say that each and every single one of the 7 or 8 dishes we tried were all equally good and consistently did not disappoint, something quite rare to maintain. It was entirely to our taste and delivered with so much care, we had to repeatedly send our compliments to the chef, whom we meet later on.
Thank you Daniel for making our night so special, it has now become one of our favourite spots in Bangkok. We are looking forward to come back to this restaurant on our next visit to BKK.

“Perfect place to treat yourself”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

Second visit for us here, and what we really like about this place is the consistency. The menu is very easy to read with 2 nice option of set menu. We decided to take the option by creating our own 4 course set menu (2,400 thb net). Both of us took red meat for our main course with pigeon and beef and both main course was so tasty ! The portion are just enough to let you reach until the dessert and the manager was very flexible to adjsut the appetizer ...Being an SPG member allowed us to get 15 % discount what it is always a nice touch ! The ambiance is very casual and relax and I would definitely suggest this place for people who are looking to treat them self whiteout spending a fortune

“Would go back.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I visited this restaurant for our last evening in Bangkok. The food was well presented and tasted good. The harpest added a nice touch to the atmosphere in the restaurant.

Possibly not quite as refined as other similar grade restaurants but we wouldn't hesitate to return.

“Very dissapointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013

Expectations were high due to the ranking on Tripadvisor together with the hefty price. We ordered the colored set menu. Our starter was superb, even though it was salmon and not crayfish, and the service seemed excellent at first. The next dish was the frog leg fricasse, which was served in accordance with what was set out in the menu. However the taste was very bland and the concept didn't seem to be thought through. The dish was followed by the lobster and corn bisque which also failed to deliver. The river trout which followed was better but not good enough. After this we were served raspberry sorbet which isn't included in the menu set. We were confused and started wondering whether the lamb would be served at all. The lamb was served next however and tasted alright. When it was time for desert we didn't get any coffee and the waiters didn't ask us whether we wanted any. Overall the service went downhill during the dinner. The waiters seemed less and less interested and repeatedly made minor errors like spilling wine on the table and not properly presenting the food. The food however was our biggest disappointment considering.

“Lovely restaurant: good food, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

On our 1st wedding anniversary, we originally planned to got to Vertigo or Sirocco restaurant, even though all reviews said food not great and hence very overpriced plus service tends to be snobbish. But both are open air restaurants on top of buildings offering good views of the city.
Anyways, as fate would have it, it began raining that evening. So we cancelled our reservations and called to make reservations at The Reflexions instead.
And I'm so glad we did!
The phone call to make reservations already a good start. I could feel his warmth and friendliness even in that one phone call!
I don't even know where to start describing the food....all i can say in one word is: EXCELLENT!
he young chef himself was also quite a character, not at all a snobbish french as one would expect with this level of skills (spoiler alert: he's not french).
I believe we spent as much as we would have had if we went to the former 2 restaurants mentioned, but the difference was, food here was fantastic. So it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for us :)
P/s. i just realised minutes ago that an SPG member would have gotten 15% off the price...i wish i knew that before! I am an SPG member ...argh... but no worries, the next time I go to Bangkok, I'll keep that in mind, because I will be going back to The Reflexions again!
