We stayed at three different, but very similar hotels around Sukhumvit Asoke BTS station and the Ramada Suites just edged out the others due to the complimentary in-room wi-fi connection and the included breakfast. For comparison we also stayed at their sister property Ramada Encore on Soi 10 (1 night) and Four Points Sheraton on Soi 15 (2 nights). We also stayed at the Hilton Millenium but that's a 5 star hotel in a very different location. Like the other two hotels the Ramada is a very new and comfortable 4 star chain hotel. It's a very competitive market in Bangkok and we got a great rate for 1800thb including breakfast on wotif. Upon check out I asked about returning another night, but the rate would have been 2500thb without breakfast so we booked the Ramada Encore instead.

I e-mailed about receiving a package and got the hotel mixed up with the Radisson Suites, the Radisson responded right away about the error, but the Ramada took a few days to answer, so they should improve their response to e-mail requests.

Check-in was trouble-free after our long flight and taxi ride from the airport. We stayed in a standard room with a comfortable king bed, contemporary design, large flat screen tv, small desk, and rain shower. Unlike some other reviews we had no issues with the bathroom and water pressure/temperature was consistent. We had a view of the pool along with the local skyline, but unfortunately it was raining. The A/C was very strong and cold, so we just turned it off and it didn't get hot or stuffy. The rate included a welcome drink, but it was not offered and we didn't realize until we checked out. The breakfast buffet was fine with a decent selection of western and some thai noodles and fried rice. I also ordered pancakes, which were really small but tasted fine. Luckily the weather was nice in the morning and we sat outside in the sunshine looking over the pool area and day beds, but it's possible to sit inside as well.

We used the complimentary tuk tuk service, but it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the main road passing Crepes & Co and Cabbages and Condoms on the way to Asoke BTS. The local Korean town is also there and tons of eating options around Sukhumvit. We also walked to Emporium shopping center to explore the neighborhood, but it's faster and easier to take the skytrain one stop away. We ended up eating pad thai at a stall on Soi 17.

Check-out was smooth, but it took a while (10-15 minute wait) to get a taxi to the airport at around 9am. The first one offered a fix rate of 500thb, but I requested a meter taxi and we had to wait again. I was concerned about traffic, but it was an easy 45 minute ride and only 215thb on the meter and 70thb in tolls.

The only big difference compared to the other hotels were the in-room wifi (faster than at Encore, and only in the lobby at the Four Points) and a great rate with included breakfast, so shop around. Overall a great value for a comfortable stay without unwanted surprises.
