“Excellent Stopover Hotel”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

I've been at the Sinsuvarn 2 or 3 times now when I have late arrival and a flight out early the following day and I don't want the hassle of getting in and out of Bangkok. The Shuttle Bus pick up is at Arrivals next to Exit 4 or 6? Where all the hotel Reps hang out. 5-10 minute shuttle bus ride from and to the airport is included in the Room Price. Staff are efficient and helpful. Rooms are basic but very clean and fully adequate. There's a small restaurant with very good Thai food. The surrounding area is pretty crummy and not very well lit, though it's perfectly safe and there's a 7-11 and Tesco Lotus at the end of the Soi where you can buy snacks, drinks and toilet items. You can also get a late checkout at reasonable cost. I'll definately go there again.

Room Tip: Away from the stairwell and lifts would be quietest.

I stayed here 1 week ago when I arrived after a long flight, it is so comfortable, they brought me a fresh fruit plate & flowers. The room service is fantastic. I'm going back tomorrow. The bed where I'm staying now is so uncomfortable & it's very noisy at night. Can't wait to go back to the Sinsuvarn! Shame it's only for one night again really.

Room Tip: I think it's very good to have a balcony.

If you are getting in late and tired, or need a hotel close to the airport for an early morning start there is nothing wrong with this hotel, good basic room, clean and just off the main drag for £16 with free airport transfers, although we took ataxi from the airport at 1.30am.

Would definitely use them again in same circumstance. If you need breakfast and lunch and want a bit of local colour then go to end of road and turn left, there are two markets plus a tesco(!) and a seven 11 nearby

Very nice rooms and friendly staff. A bit of construction going on around the place but for an overnight place when arriving or leaving Thailand it's good. They have free airport shuttle and if u miss that it only cost me 120tb from the airport and that includes the 50 u pay before u get in. Wouldn't suggest more than a night or 2 not much here and 25k from main Bangkok. A lot of dodgy street food but there's a good market near by.
Recommend if u need a place for the night before flying out and only 5-10min from airport and nice bar on the corner.

Close to Suvarnabhumi Airport with free transfer service every half hour.
I had a clean, spacious room with a very comforable kind-size bed with nice hard mattrace, private balkony, water-cooker... and could relax very well after a long flight.

Sinsuvarn Airport suite

This hotel is good for short stay only. There are quite a few Asian tour groups coming in usually with so much noise. This also reflects the way they organize the breakfast, with a tour group you get buffet breakfast, otherwise it’s an a la carte. The buffet service is ok, mostly Asian food with very little choice for Western style breakfast. Staff and service are pleasant enough. You feel that they try to be nice but look bored with their work at times.
The building was obviously designed by a mean spirited architect. There is only one lift which stops at a landing between two floors. This means you have to drag your luggage up or down stairs to get to your floor. You may get a porter service on arrival but on departure you may or may not because the porter will have to check the mini bar usage. At this point if you have left a tip for your chambermaids then I suspect it will not get to them.
The service charge which the hotel charges their customers often is not paid to staff as it should. They just see it as another way to add to the business income.
Being very close to the Suvarnabhumi Airport is great if you can use the hotel shuttle which offers one pick up and drop off per room only, so it is not really a shuttle system to be useful for anyone staying more than one night. Unlike some of the hotels in Sukhumvit area which offer a kind of shuttle every hour daily for their guests to get good connection to the main transport. If you are thinking of getting a taxi, you may find that taxis are not happy with such a short journey because the meter will not give them a worthwhile earning.
On arrival, to get pick up, you should go to 2nd floor at gate or exit door number 4, look for the hotel name or ask at the information desk there, otherwise just call the hotel reception. Do not get a taxi from the airport taxi desk because it cost only about 50 bahts to get to the hotel. The taxi has to queue and they have to pay to get work there. Your very short journey would give you a very miserable taxi driver unless you want to compensate him for the lost. I felt I should do, so I asked him for the fares to town centre and just paid him that 500 bahts (GB£10), and everyone was happy under that circumstances. Life is not easy here for people are not well off, you can afford to be fair to them.
Otherwise just get the city rail link, not the nonstop express train, and get off at Lat Krabang station, the next stop from the airport and take a local taxi there. This is also the way to get to and from town centre if you stay more than a day at this hotel but you may find the cost adds up against you, in that case it is better to stay further in town especially closer to any one of the stations that the Airport rail link passes. Check out…… Nasavegashotel.com which is situated right next to the Ramkhamhaeng station.
Changing money at the airport is usually 1.5 bahts per GB£1 less than changing in town so you can lose quite a bit of cash if you change a lot on money at the airport. At the end of the Airport city rail link, Phraya Thai station, just before you connect to the BTS train, just on the right opposite of the small mcDonald’s counter, there is a TMB bank exchange booth which I found give the best rates in town at the time.
The internet speed is a broadband with excellent speed but on my last day there seemed to be limited and did not get better all day.
On the main road, if you turn left you will find a small Seven Eleven and going right there are Tesco Lotus and food market. There is a seafood restaurant at the junction close to Tesco Lotus.
Would I stay at this hotel again? I don’t think so. It’s just too boring.

Room Tip: Top floor end of corridor

This Hotel is at a distance of less than 1 km from the Airport. They have complementary shuttle services going on from Hotel to Airport (which is the best thing). The hotel staff will pick you up from the airport.

The rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Wi-fi and service was also good. They serve typical thai food and the breakfast that was also complementary with the booking was very lavish and had a lot of variety.

But this hotel is useful only if you are looking for an airport Hotel as it is situated in the outskirts and is away from the city. Book it only if you have a connecting flight and need overnight saty.

All said and done, this hotel serves its purpose at amazing price...a perfect airport Hotel.....
