Our family of 5 had a great 4 night stay in " Marigold" on the 25th floor in December 2012. It's a huge 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment, beautifully furnished, with views of the river (just gorgeous at night). Perfect apartment for our family with small kids, and much more space than we would have had in a hotel. We've stayed in Bangkok a number of times before, but the info pack in the room was thoughtfully compiled and useful.

The pool complex is fantastic, lots of little spa areas to keep the kids occupied. The location is great if you want to be on the river - it's not in a touristy area but it has quick and easy transport options to the main centres. The hotel boat shuttle has limited hours but we usually used the public ferry which is only a few minutes walk away - it costs next to nothing and runs every few minutes. We ate on the 'quiet side' of the river a couple of times and there's a couple of good restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment, as well as heaps of great street food day and night.

A couple of little frustrations - the free wifi was fairly intermittent, and the computer terminals in the public areas were only open limited hours. During our stay the electrical wiring for the building was being checked, so they had scheduled 3 days of fairly lengthy power outages (7 hours on one day!). We were surprised we hadn't been advised of this in advance as it meant we had to plan our day around the outages. But these were minor issues.

Overall excellent value and we'd definitely stay here again.

Spacious apartment "Sakura 2" for family with good air conditioning, lovely pool and very safe.
Peter, the guide/taxi driver recommended by the apartment was very helpful, friendly and drove us all to kanchanaburi, tiger temple and Hellfire Pass.

We stayed in the Malee for 5 days each at the beginning and end of a 2-month southeast asian trip. And what a gift it was - luxury and the feel of Bangkok in your own, quiet space.

First off - the unit is like a magazine. The floor to ceiling windows give fantastic views and the blinds let you pick the times you'd prefer total privacy. The soaker tub is an event in itself. Each night we would enjoy the lights of the skyline, the bridge and boats on the river. Dimmer lights just cap the ambience.

The pre-arrangements and communication are professional, timely and proved to be accurate. We arrived at 6am and were prepared in case the key or access was not quite ready - but it was all seamless. We contacted the owners for assistance a couple of times and responses were quick and helpful.

There is a well-thought-out booklet that's been compiled to help you find your way around the neighbourhood and the building's amenities. The only recommendation would be an updated and somewhat more detailed map with the local eateries and drink spots.

We used the gym and the pool - everything is very well maintained and clean. The kitchen was nicely outfitted for the in-room meals we chose to make. The washer worked perfectly and the clothes dried while hung in the heat of the bathroom in a couple of hours.

All-in-all, both thumbs up! Highly recommend.

We stayed in Sakura Studio for 3 nights and extended until 1900 (7pm) on the last day for 50% of the room rate. Great communication prior to arrival, no issue with getting the key from the doorman despite not having arrived until nearly 0400 (in the morning due to flight delays), and the room was spotless. Would have been nice to have someone welcome you, answer questions, etc. but we knew going in the key would be left with the doorman. Tried to meet up with the owner/manager the next day and the day after so we could get some tips on the area and finalize payment, however, our schedules did not mesh. Would be great if the ferry going across the river would run 7 days a week and throughout the day (no ferry from around 1030-1530...or something similar), but it wasn't a deal breaker. Huge kitchen and great appliances, though we couldn't figure out how to work the washer, nor could we locate the washers on the 6th floor despite following all the signs posted (lead to dead ends). Again, would have been nice to have someone to ask about all of this, but we couldn't meet up due to timing. Beautiful swimming pool on the 6th floor and great view, library with internet on the same floor. Wifi was on/off in our room, which was frustrating at times. Initially connected with no issues, but it would kick me off every now and then, and I had to connect via a different room/connection. Overall great deal, but would have been nice to have some personalized attention since we had never been to Bangkok/Thailand before.

Have you wanted to stay in an apartment in the city and feel like you live in Bangkok....well this is the place to go. We stayed here for 3 nights and after a delayed flight we were met by our driver who was part of Peter Doungsuwan Team straight to the apartment. We were met by the ground crew and arrived at the apartment. WOW the Rose apartment suited us to a T even thought it was late we couldnt wait to look out of the small balcony and say hello to Bangkok. Diamond came in the morning and finalised the rent ...she is lovely and makes you so welcome. Great place to catch a ferry over the river ask the doorman they will tell you where to go. Apartment was spotless ......couldnt ask for more. If you dont want the fuss of a hotel go here.

Room Tip: the word around is that all the apartments are excellent

We rented both the 2BR Sakura and the Sakura studio, and we couldn't be happier. The units were large, well-equipped, and conveniently located. Jonathan and Diamond were both very accommodating and helpful, offering a great deal of information about the surrounding districts. We didn't have time to use the gym and the pool, but we'll get around to that on our next trip.

Room Tip: Just be sure you get a proper orientation on the facilities (like the kitchen appliances) as soon as...

Really enjoyed the apartment - we chose it as it was bigger than the others and had a balcony (although only with sliding doors open really). There were only two of us so we did not use the second bedroom but it was good to have two bathrooms. It is not cheap but worth it. It was on the 31st floor so had great views. It was very quiet. We only used the pool once during our 4 night stay but it was pleasant. Wifi was very good.
There were a couple of bottles of water in the fridge on arrival. It would have been a nice touch to have had a surprise welcome pack ( just the basics) like a lot of self-catering places we have stayed of similar quality.
I bought breakfast from the local street sellers - amazingly cheap and very good quality.
We even had some takeaways for lunch/dinner as it was great to be able to eat in a cool envirnment with lovely views rather than be in a sweaty restaurant. The BBQ fish from the lady just right at the entrance was exceptional.
The free boat across the river was not available for 2 of our 4 days but it is an easy walk across the bridge. This brings you to the access point to the main boats of the river. We just used the orange or blue boat which gives one-price tickets for a few Baht. We avaoided the touts where the prices were more.
We did not like Bangkok much - probably as it was our last stay at the end of a 5 week trip around SE Asia and therefore did not hold much that was new or exciting - we shoudl have gone to a beach resort instead. Indeed our trip to the Grand Palace was a disaster: so busy we decided not to go in. They we fell for the cheap tuk tuk scam arranged by a well dressed gentleman who was 'very helpful'. We ended up being taken around jewellers and taylors. We insisted on misssing some but we should have just got off and got a taxi.
The market at the local temple along the road from the apartment was interesting.
7/11 supermarket was handy for beer/water.
Peter the taxi driver who is recommended by Jonathon/Diamond was very good for airport transfers.

Room Tip: Go for the bigger aprtment on 31st floor with balcony if you can afford it.
